Role Description ADVI is seeking an experienced builder-leader to head up the firm's technology and innovation strategy as the VP of Technology. This role will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and advancing opportunities that leverage technology, data, and artificial intelligence to strengthen ADVI's competitive position, improve operational effectiveness, create differentiated client offerings, and support long-term growth. The Technology & Innovation Leader will partner closely with executive leadership and enjoys building, experimenting, and working hands-on to bring ideas from concept to commercialization. The role is envisioned as an individual contributor initially, with the opportunity to build capabilities and team structures over time as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable setting strategy and driving execution. Success in this role requires a unique blend of product orientation, technology fluency, business acumen, and change leadership. - Develop and lead ADVI's technology and innovation strategy in alignment with the firm's business objectives. - Identify opportunities to create new revenue streams, enhance existing services, and improve profitability through technology-enabled solutions. - Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and data-driven innovations that can strengthen ADVI's market position. - Build business cases and investment recommendations for innovation initiatives. - Establish and monitor innovation performance metrics tied to business outcomes. - Lead the development of a multi-year technology and innovation roadmap. - Partner with consulting, operations, and commercial leaders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality through technology. - Drive organizational adoption of new tools, processes, and capabilities. - Establish governance frameworks that support innovation while balancing risk, compliance, and business priorities. - Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and responsible innovation. - Identify opportunities to develop differentiated technology-enabled offerings that create value for clients and support firm growth. - Guide the evaluation, prioritization, and commercialization of new products, services, and capabilities. - Partner with internal and external resources to bring innovation concepts from idea to implementation. - Lead innovation initiatives from idea through implementation, taking a hands-on approach to building, testing, and scaling new capabilities. - Ensure innovation investments are aligned with client needs and market demand. - Serve as a credible representative of ADVI's technology and innovation capabilities with clients, prospects, partners, and investors. - Support business development efforts by articulating ADVI's innovation strategy and technology-enabled value proposition. - Participate in executive-level discussions regarding growth strategy, technology investments, and organizational priorities. - Strengthen ADVI's reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative consulting partner. - Partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with overall business strategy. - Influence and build consensus across stakeholders with varying priorities and perspectives. - Build trust across the organization and drive adoption of new technologies and ways of working. - Partner effectively with subject matter experts to create alignment, balance competing priorities, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Lead cross-functional initiatives that require organizational change and transformation. - Operate effectively within a growth-oriented, private equity-backed environment. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus. - 12+ years of leadership experience in innovation, digital transformation, product strategy, technology-enabled services, or related disciplines. - Demonstrated success leading business transformation initiatives that resulted in measurable growth, efficiency improvements, or competitive differentiation. - Experience developing and executing innovation strategies within professional services, healthcare, life sciences, consulting, or related industries. - Strong understanding of AI, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies and their application to business challenges. - Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organizational change. - Excellent communication, presentation, and executive leadership skills. Requirements - Background in building and applying technology solutions in real-world settings (engineering, product, or related fields) with increasing leadership responsibility. - Experience in product leadership or developing client-facing solutions. - Exposure to private equity-backed or high-growth environments. - Familiarity with consulting, healthcare, or life sciences sectors. - Experience working with or implementing enterprise systems and tools.
