Role Description Retention is the highest-leverage profit engine for modern eCommerce brands. We are looking for a Senior Retention Marketing Strategist to own the lifecycle and messaging strategy for a portfolio of high-growth brands. This is not a "task-execution" role; we are looking for a strategic thinker who can move the needle on Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and repeat purchase rates. You will be the architect behind high-converting email and SMS campaigns, sophisticated automation flows, and data-driven optimizations. If you are a master of direct-response copywriting, technical lifecycle strategy, and client communication, this is your opportunity to lead the retention function at a tech-forward, AI-enabled agency. Key Responsibilities - Strategy Ownership: Build and manage comprehensive monthly email and SMS campaign calendars that align with seasonal trends, product launches, and evergreen goals. - Direct-Response Copywriting: Write high-converting, brand-aligned copy for campaigns and complex lifecycle flows (Welcome, Abandonment, Post-Purchase, Winback, VIP, etc.). - Lifecycle Optimization: Audit and enhance automated systems to improve segmentation, offer strategy, and customer journey mapping. - Performance Analysis: Review account data regularly to identify trends, translate metrics into actionable insights, and prepare strategic reporting for clients. - Client Advisory: Lead strategy calls, present recommendations with confidence, and identify opportunities for account expansion or upsells. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with designers, builders, and account managers to ensure every strategic plan is executed with precision and quality. - Innovation: Leverage AI tools and internal SOPs to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining the highest standard of strategic judgment. Qualifications - Proven Experience: 3β5+ years in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing, specifically within the eCommerce/DTC space. Agency experience is highly preferred. - Platform Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience with Klaviyo (or similar platforms) and a solid understanding of the Shopify ecosystem. - Copywriting Mastery: Ability to write compelling direct-response copy across multiple brand voices that balances storytelling with conversion. - Analytical Mindset: Deep understanding of retention KPIs (attributed revenue, CTR, AOV, repeat purchase rates, list health, and deliverability). - Strategic Communication: Strong ability to present data-driven strategies clearly to founders and marketing leads. - Technical Agility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adopting AI-enabled workflows to stay at the cutting edge of the industry. - Ownership: A proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple accounts and deadlines with minimal oversight. Nice-to-Haves - Experience with specialized SMS platforms like Attentive or Postscript. - Familiarity with paid media channels (Meta, Google, TikTok) and how they integrate with retention. - Experience managing retention for 7-to-9-figure eCommerce brands. - Prior experience in subscription-based or consumable product categories. Benefits - π° Competitive salary: (based on experience and qualifications) - π Fully remote role with flexible work environment - π Be part of a high-impact team powering award-winning, research-driven campaigns - π Long-term potential with a stable, growing company in a high-visibility space - π― Work on campaigns seen by thousands of professionals and industry leaders

Role Description We're hiring a Senior Email Marketing Strategist to own retention and lifecycle revenue across a portfolio of high-growth DTC brands. You will be the lead email strategist for multiple 9-figure brands, owning the Klaviyo account, the flow architecture, the campaign calendar, and the revenue number for each one. This is a senior role for someone who has already run email at scale. You will direct a team of designers and copywriters who build against your strategy, so you need to know how to brief, critique, and get great work out of others. If you've only ever executed someone else's plan, or only worked one brand at a time, this isn't the role. What you'll own - Full lifecycle strategy in Klaviyo across multiple brands: welcome, browse/cart/checkout abandonment, post-purchase, winback, replenishment, VIP, and sunset flows - The campaign calendar for each brand: planning, briefing, and overseeing weekly and promotional sends - A team of designers and copywriters who execute against your briefs, including reviewing their work and holding the quality bar - List growth and segmentation strategy, including RFM-based segments and predictive analytics - A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, creative, offers, send timing) with clear hypotheses and documented learnings - Deliverability: list hygiene, sender reputation, inbox placement, and warming - Reporting on the metrics that matter (% of total revenue from email/SMS, flow revenue, revenue per recipient, LTV impact) in plain language Nice to have - Experience with Shopify (or the brand's commerce platform) - SMS/retention beyond email - Agency or portfolio experience managing several brands simultaneously Qualifications - 4+ years running email/retention for DTC ecommerce brands, with direct, hands-on experience at one or more 9-figure ($100M+ revenue) DTC brands - Experience managing multiple brands or accounts at once without dropping the ball - Experience directing designers and copywriters, not just doing the work yourself - Deep Klaviyo expertise, fluent in flow logic, conditional splits, dynamic content, segmentation, and the Klaviyo data model - A track record you can quantify: specific flows you built, the revenue/lift they drove, and how you measured it - Strong copy and creative judgment - Comfort owning a revenue number and being measured against it How to apply In your application, answer these directly: - Which 9-figure DTC brand(s) have you worked with, and what specifically did you own? - Walk us through one flow you built that meaningfully moved revenue: the structure, the logic, and the result. - How many brands have you managed at once, and how big was the team (designers/copywriters) you directed? Applications that skip these or stay vague won't move forward.
