Role Description We’re building a network of exceptional Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Strategists who can own retention strategy, customer lifecycle optimization, and email/SMS performance across sophisticated consumer brands. This is not an execution-focused email marketing role. We’re looking for strategic marketers who can diagnose business challenges, develop retention strategies, and influence growth through lifecycle marketing. Successful candidates will be matched with our clients—either DTC brands or agencies—for remote opportunities that best align with their expertise, experience, and strengths. Key Responsibilities - Own lifecycle marketing strategy across one or multiple DTC brands or client accounts, driving customer retention and long-term revenue growth. - Develop and optimize lifecycle marketing programs across email, SMS, and customer journey automations. - Analyze customer cohorts, retention trends, lifetime value (LTV), churn, rebill rates, repeat purchase behavior, and campaign performance to identify business opportunities. - Build strategic lifecycle roadmaps, including segmentation strategies, automation architecture, testing plans, and customer journey optimization. - Develop structured experimentation roadmaps with clear hypotheses, prioritization, and measurable success criteria. - Produce monthly performance reports and strategic recommendations that connect marketing performance to business outcomes. - Partner with designers, copywriters, CRM specialists, and marketing teams by translating strategic direction into clear execution briefs. - Lead strategic discussions with clients and internal stakeholders, presenting recommendations and influencing decision-making with confidence. - Evaluate acquisition quality, customer behavior, product dynamics, and revenue performance to recommend retention initiatives that improve customer lifetime value. - Collaborate across marketing, creative, and analytics teams to continuously improve lifecycle marketing performance. - Stay current on lifecycle marketing best practices, AI tools, and emerging CRM technologies to improve efficiency and strategic execution. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing, CRM Marketing, Retention Marketing, or Email & SMS Marketing. - Proven experience managing lifecycle marketing for DTC ecommerce brands is required. - Strong expertise with Klaviyo or equivalent enterprise email marketing platforms. - Hands-on experience building lifecycle strategies, customer journeys, segmentation frameworks, and marketing automations. - Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting customer cohorts, retention metrics, lifetime value (LTV), customer behavior, and campaign performance. - Demonstrated success improving customer retention, repeat purchase rate, subscription performance, or customer lifetime value. - Experience designing and evaluating A/B tests with clear business objectives. - Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose business challenges before recommending solutions. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment. - Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. - Willingness to work during U.S. business hours. - AI-native mindset with experience using AI tools to improve productivity and strategic workflows.
