Job Description

Corporate Development

Nubank

Title: Corporate Development Location: Palo Alto, San Francisco, United States Job Description: About Us Nu is one of the largest digital financial platforms in the world, with more than 122 million customers across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. Guided by our mission to fight complexity and empower people, we are redefining financial services in Latin America and this is still just the beginning of the purple future we're building. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: NU), we combine proprietary technology, data intelligence, and an efficient operating model to deliver financial products that are simple, accessible, and human. Our impact has been recognized by global rankings such as Time 100 Companies, Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, and Forbes World’s Best Bank. Visit our institutional page https://international.nubank.com.br/careers/ About the Role Nubank is looking for a senior Corporate Development professional to be our permanent presence in San Francisco — the heart of global innovation in crypto, AI, and fintech. Sitting within the Global Corporate Development team, this person will be our eyes and ears in the US startup ecosystem, identifying and leading strategic opportunities that support Nubank’s international growth agenda. The initial focus is crypto: sourcing and executing acquihires and acquisitions, building relationships with founders, operators, and investors across the Bay Area ecosystem. Over time, the mandate will evolve — spanning AI partnerships, design talent pipelines, and opportunistic fintech M&A — as Nubank’s Bay Area footprint grows. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and can operate independently while staying tightly connected to a globally distributed team. What You’ll Do - Be Nubank’s presence in the Bay Area. Act as the primary point of contact with the US startup ecosystem — founders, VCs, investment banks, and strategic partners — with a focus on crypto and AI. - Lead crypto M&A. Source, evaluate, and execute acquihires and acquisitions in the crypto/Web3 space. Own deal flow from initial contact through term sheet and close, in coordination with the LatAm CorpDev team. - Build and maintain a high-quality network. Develop trusted relationships with crypto and AI founders, VC and crypto-native funds, accelerators, and ecosystem intermediaries in the Bay Area. - Identify and lead strategic opportunities. Beyond crypto, keep a watching brief on AI, design, and other fields relevant to Nubank’s global strategy. Surface and prioritize the right opportunities in partnership with team leadership. - Drive cross-functional execution. Lead end-to-end execution of prioritized transactions and partnerships, coordinating workstreams across CorpDev, Legal, Finance, and business units. - Write high-quality investment and partnership memos. Synthesize complex opportunities into clear, hypothesis-driven briefs for Nubank’s senior leadership. - Support Nu USA CorpDev activities. On a secondary basis, provide deal and market intelligence relevant to Nu’s US business (this is not the primary mandate of the role). What We’re Looking For - 5–10 years of experience in tech (ideally in crypto and AI), Corporate Development, M&A, investment banking, venture capital, or growth equity — with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly in or alongside the crypto/Web3 ecosystem. - Deep familiarity with the Bay Area tech and startup ecosystem, especially in crypto and/or AI. An existing network with founders, VCs, and operators is essential; you should be able to get a first meeting through a direct message, not a cold email. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex transactions or partnerships end-to-end — from sourcing and thesis development through negotiation and close. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to synthesize complex topics into clear, concise memos and presentations for executive audiences. - Highly autonomous and self-directed. Comfortable operating with ambiguity, across time zones, and without a large local team. - Experience working with or within a global, fast-growing technology company in fintech, crypto, or AI is a strong plus. - Fluency in English required. Portuguese or Spanish is a plus — but not required. Why Nubank Nubank is one of the world’s largest digital financial services companies, serving over 130 million customers across Latin America. We’re on a mission to fight complexity and give people more control over their financial lives — and we’re just getting started on our global expansion journey. This role sits at the center of that effort: building the ecosystem relationships and executing the transactions that will define Nubank’s next chapter. Total compensation includes base salary, RSUs and benefits. Base salary range: US$210k - US$230k. Our Benefits - Medical Insurance - Dental and Vision Insurance - Life Insurance and AD&D - Extended maternity and paternity leaves - Nucleo - Our learning platform of courses - NuLanguage - Our language learning program - NuCare - Our mental health and wellness assistance program - 401K - Saving Plans - Health Saving Account and Flexible Spending Account - Work-from-home Allowance - Relocation Assistance Package, if applicable. Work Model for this Role Hybrid 2-3 times/week: Our hybrid work model brings us to the office at least twice a week, on strategic days designed to maximize team connection and collaboration.

Hunter Recruitment Advisors is an RPO and staffing firm built around one clear thesis: skilled trades, home services, commercial, and manufacturing companies deserve recruiting talent that actually understands their business. We operate as an extension of our clients' teams, not as a vendor. Founded by an operator. Led by operators. Sold by operators.

Role Description You've spent years building practices, hired teams, closed deals that moved the needle—and watched ownership collect the upside while you hit quota. You saw the pattern. You know what the alternative looks like. We're looking for a senior commercial leader to own the ground-up build of two connected practices—Contract Staffing and Perm Placement—at a proven recruiting firm. You're not building this for a PE firm, a public company, or a distant investor. You're building it with an owner who actually operates the business, who values what you create, and who has structured this role so you'll hold minority ownership in the practices you build. The majority of your upside is earned, not promised. This is not a quota-carrying seller role. It's a practice-building leadership role where you own the commercial funnel: - Lead gen - Qualification - Proposal - Close - Onboarding - Expansion - Renewal You'll partner directly with the founder and controller on: - Pipeline strategy - Client diversification - Recruiter capacity planning - Pricing discipline - The unit economics of every deal Qualifications - 15+ years in staffing, RPO, or talent solutions - 5+ years in a real P&L leadership role - Experience building or scaling contract staffing and perm placement practices - Ability to call on C-suite buyers - Understanding of bill-rate/pay-rate economics, gross margin discipline, and recruiter productivity standards - Experience in skilled trades, IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or adjacent verticals is a plus Requirements - Operate like an owner - Ability to walk away from bad deals - Timely communication and closing loops - Measure against results - Comfortable being measured—and measuring others—against clear targets Benefits - Competitive base salary, calibrated to your background and P&L scope - Tiered commission on contract revenue and perm placements - Uncapped upside structured to reward sustained, profitable growth - Minority ownership stake in the two practices you build - Medical, dental, and vision coverage - 401(k) with company match - Uncapped PTO - Continuing education stipend to stay current in your field Company Description Hunter Recruitment Advisors is an RPO and staffing firm built around one clear thesis: skilled trades, home services, commercial, and manufacturing companies deserve recruiting talent that actually understands their business.
