Senior Manager, Stars Data Operations
CVS Health
• Lead the critical infrastructure that powers Medicare Stars performance. • Oversee three primary pillars: Data Management, External Stars Reporting, and Stars Analytics. • Ensure that Stars data is ingested accurately, reported transparently to leadership, and reconciled against payer data to ensure no gap goes unclosed. • Direct the end-to-end lifecycle of core Stars data sets. • Oversee data ingestion processes, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and the tracking of bugs or system escalations. • Ensure the integrity and availability of 'source of truth' data for all Stars-related initiatives. • Lead team of analysts in forecasting models that project Oak Street’s performance in various CMS Stars measures. • Regularly analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance ratings. • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate performance metrics, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Job Requirements
- 7-10 years of consulting, data analytics, product management, and/or other applicable experience in healthcare
- Analytical and data savvy
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, experience working with large datasets
- Experience/proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, and/or Alteryx is a plus
- Ability to succinctly summarize and synthesize large amounts of information
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster collaboration with health plans and internal teams
- Strong interpersonal skills that support effective stakeholder engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Someone who is a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong accountability and discipline against timelines and deliverables
- Passion for excellence, willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives and ensure consistently high quality work product
- Quick learner and someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity
