• Write production Python that powers real-time bidding, model training, and campaign optimization • Train, deploy, and monitor ML models that decide which ads to show, when, and at what price: millions of bid decisions per second • Build and improve our incrementality measurement systems: helping advertisers understand the true causal lift of their CTV spend • Design and implement new ML products across the ad-buying lifecycle: audience targeting, bid optimization, pacing, and attribution • Use LLMs and generative AI to build internal tools that accelerate how we develop, test, and ship ML systems • Serve as a technical lead and mentor on a distributed engineering team

• Ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of production infrastructure and platform services • Operating and scaling Kubernetes platforms, including governance and support for multi-tenant workloads • Managing GitOps-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD and Helm • Supporting infrastructure provisioning and change management through Terraform/Terragrunt • Building and supporting CI/CD automation and deployment workflows using GitHub Actions • Participating in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvement initiatives • Reducing operational toil through scripting, tooling, and process automation • Advancing observability practices across logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting • Supporting secure secrets integration, IAM-aware operations, and platform guardrails • Partnering closely with application, security, and platform teams to improve reliability and delivery outcomes

• Own and drive quality for web platform features, spanning UI, APIs, and backend services • Design and execute manual test cases and exploratory testing for complex web and API workflows • Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. • Build and maintain automated test suites for: • Validate frontend–backend integration, data consistency, and error handling • Perform API contract testing, schema validation, and negative/edge-case testing • Collaborate with engineers during design, implementation, and code reviews to improve testability and catch issues early • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable feedback • Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution • Advocate for quality best practices, including shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and automation strategy • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools like Jira.

• Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams to help us fulfill our mission - to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love • Bring scientific rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of product creation, development and improvement with an appreciation for the behaviors of our Pinners • Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale while developing comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for product development • Work cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights, and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to help build the next experiences on Pinterest

• Build out Pinner-facing frontend features in iOS to power the future of inspiration on Pinterest • Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release; from rapidly prototyping, running A/B tests, to architecting and building solutions that can scale to support millions of users • Partner with design, product, and backend teams to build end to end functionality • Put on your Pinner hat to suggest new product ideas and features • Employ automated testing to build features with a high degree of technical quality, taking responsibility for the components and features you develop • Grow as an engineer by working with world-class peers on varied and high impact projects • Leverage AI to seek faster execution (i.e. draft, prototype, outline) and explore alternative options (i.e. iterate, compare approaches) • Leverage AI to synthesize information (summarize, distill themes) and automate repeatable tasks (documentation, reporting, QA checks)

• Oversee recruiting for multiple domains (Product Design, Qualitative & Quantitative Researcher’s, Content Designers, Technical Program Managers, IT/Operations), spanning different levels across those teams, leveraging innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent and ensure hiring goals are met. • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans, including talent pooling, market mapping, and competitor analysis. • Collaborate with hiring managers, key stakeholders (e.g., HR, Compensation, etc), Sourcing partners to align recruiting strategies with organizational goals. • Manage pipeline activity, maintain data integrity, and provide data-driven updates to stakeholders to inform decisions. • Lead initiatives to improve and scale recruiting operations, including onboarding and training recruiters, setting performance expectations, and driving hiring strategies. • Drive the offer process, including negotiations and closing candidates, while managing team goals and performance outcomes. • At Pinterest our Recruiters and Sourcers use AI to build and refine their sourcing strategies. You’ll be expected to use AI to: • Translate hiring manager needs into clear, actionable search strategies. • Understand the talent landscape and map companies, teams, talent clusters, and candidate movement. • Craft compelling, personalized, and relevant outreach that improves response rates - while keeping communications human, inclusive, and role-relevant.

• Design and implement robust data infrastructure in AWS, using Spark with Scala • Evolve our core data pipelines to efficiently scale for our massive growth • Store data in optimal engines and formats, matching your designs to our performance needs and cost factors • Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to design data solutions that meet business needs • Design and implement knowledge graphs, exposing their functionality both via Batch Processing and APIs • Leverage and optimize AWS resources while designing for scale • Collaborate closely with our Data Science and Product teams

• Build the future-state operating model for Recruiting • Define and lead a bold, multi-year vision for Recruiting Operations at Pinterest, centered on scale, automation, intelligence, and exceptional user experience. • Reimagine how recruiting work gets done by identifying friction, eliminating low-value manual work, and redesigning workflows end-to-end. • Build an AI-forward and automation-first operating model that enables recruiters to spend more time on high-judgment, high-impact work. • Drive AI and automation across the recruiting lifecycle • Identify opportunities to deploy AI and workflow automation across TA processes. • Build practical, high-impact automations that improve speed, quality, consistency, and user experience for candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers. • Champion experimentation and continuous learning, helping the TA organization adopt new tools confidently and thoughtfully. • Optimize TA system operations and reporting • Partner closely with People Tech and IT to ensure systems are integrated, scalable, secure, and designed to support both current and future hiring needs. • Serve as the senior operational leader for recruiting tool operations, testing, adoption, and change management. • Own recruiting operations reporting and dashboards while partnering with the People Analytics team on cross functional organization insights. • Partner with TA leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting processes and output mechanisms. • Lead operational programs that are business-critical and compliant • Own the operational strategy and execution for core TA programs including: background checks, employee referral program administration, etc. • Ensure these programs are inclusive, scalable, compliant, and user-friendly. • Partner with Legal, HR, Mobility/Immigration, and business stakeholders to strengthen controls while reducing unnecessary complexity.
