Role Description Fleetio is looking for a self-driven and product-minded Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth Engineering team. This role would be ideal for someone who has a good eye for UX, an interest in digging into data, and enjoys working with a cross-functional team. In this role, you’ll research opportunities and run experiments in an effort to ensure Fleetio users are primed for long-term success through personalized onboarding experiences. Qualifications - 5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails - 2+ years experience with ReactJS, Typescript - Previous experience working on a Growth engineering team - Varied experience building full-stack web-based systems and features - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL - Prior experience with unit testing frameworks - Excellent communication skills (particularly written) - Be sure to mention “coffee” in your application so we know you actually read this Requirements - Passion for and experience collaborating with others - Writing clean code and shipping experiments that drive adoption and engagement - Eye for detail and focus on quality - Desire to craft seamless user experiences - Proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Extensive experience planning, designing, and building features that increase trial user engagement - Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others Your Impact - Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, our Data Ops team, and other engineers to research, plan, design, and build features that drive user adoption of Fleetio’s product. - Quickly create user experiences throughout the app and experiment to increase engagement from trial users. - Build systems to provide customized onboarding for users during their trial period. - Spend time improving feature areas around various app modules to increase usage and reduce churn. - Have a strong voice in setting direction for both the team and the product experience.
