Job Description

Associate Field Service Engineer – Fixed Term, 12-month assignment

Xibo Open Source Digital Signage

• Train alongside Field Service Engineers at customer site visits, including installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues related to flow cytometry instrumentation • Learn and follow service procedures, technical memos, safety standards, and documentation requirements, along with how to use Salesforce and prepare a Field Service Report • Communicate product quality observations or service concerns to appropriate team members • Work closely with Field Service, Sales, and Field Applications teams • Support customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely follow-up • Assist with maintaining service parts and inventory organization, completing expense reports in a timely manner and entering hours into your timesheet on a weekly basis • Develop understanding of flow cytometry systems, including optics, fluidics, electronics, and pneumatics • Travel to customer sites as required within the assigned region

Job Requirements

  • Recent college graduates within the past 6 months
  • Must hold a 2-year Associate degree or 4-year Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Degree should be in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline
  • Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer focus and professional communication skills
  • Highly organized with good follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines is a plus
  • Computer skills required, including typing, email, and basic software use
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own or have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Must hold a valid U.S. passport for potential travel to Canada
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to adapt to last-minute changes
