Job Description
Taboola Media Buyer
Slapend Rijk B.V.
Role Description We're a performance-driven D2C pet brand spending 7 figures a year across Google and Meta. We've already run Taboola and proven the concept works, now we need a dedicated buyer to take it to the next level. The potential here is high: a proven brand, real products, and a channel that's ready to scale. We're looking for one skilled media buyer who knows how to scale on native. Important: we're a legitimate white-hat ecommerce brand with real products. Your relevant experience must come from running native ads for genuine D2C/ecommerce brands, not arbitrage, clickbait, or blackhat funnels. If your background is ad arbitrage or "juicy" content sites, this isn't the right fit. This IS for you if: - You're a solo operator obsessed with D2C performance marketing - You study what top D2C brands are doing on native platforms - You think in hooks, angles, and thumb-stopping creatives, not just campaign structures - You know how to craft native ads that don't feel like ads What you'll do: - Personally manage our Taboola campaigns end-to-end: daily optimization, creative and headline testing, disciplined scaling - Create fresh concepts, hooks, headlines, and thumbnail ideas based on what's working in D2C now - Use AI tools to ideate and produce ad variations faster - Work with our CRO team to align landing pages with ad messaging (advertorials, direct-to-product, etc.) Qualifications - Hands-on experience running Taboola for white-hat D2C ecommerce brands - A solid grasp of native best practices and how they differ from social - A creative mindset: you propose new ideas, not just execute - Experience with substantial budgets on Native Requirements - Confirmation that you work solo (not with a team or agency) - Your current active client count and hours available per week - Proof of relevant experience: your top spending Taboola account in the last 6 months (monthly ad spend + niche), with the brand confirmed as white-hat D2C/ecommerce. Screenshots, dashboards, or live ad examples strongly preferred (we understand NDAs, so anonymize/redact what you must, but show real numbers and real results) - How you stay current with Taboola and D2C native trends - Your expected monthly compensation Benefits - Trial phase (minimum 1 month): competitive hourly rate - After trial: hourly rate + performance bonuses based on profit generated - Top performers are rewarded directly for results Strong applicants will be asked to record a short Loom walking through their creative testing and scaling process, and how they'd approach scaling a pet bed on Taboola.
