Associate General Counsel
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health
Dartmouth Health is seeking an experienced healthcare attorney to serve as an Associate General Counsel for the system in the area of Provider Contracting. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare regulatory lawyer who has enjoyed previous in-house experience in the hospital or health system environment and wishes to grow in a large, academic setting. Oversee all contract drafting and review for employed physicians and providers within the system Conduct appropriate regulatory analyses for provider compensation arrangements and financial relationships Protect the institutional interests of Dartmouth Health
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in drafting, negotiating, and analyzing agreements with providers
- Significant experience in health care compensation reviews and Fair Market Value assessments and process
- Passion for high volume contract work
- Detail orientation and the ability to work independently on multiple projects
- Collaborative and customer service orientation, able to work collegially with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to appropriately educate various stakeholders on applicable laws, regulations, and policies
- Qualified candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Prior experience as a health care attorney
- Active licensure with a State Bar, with the ability to obtain licensure in the New Hampshire State Bar within one year of hire
- A minimum of 6 years of experience is required
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- In-house counsel experience, as well as experience advising non-profits, is preferred
