Job Description

Commercial Counsel

Cribl

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS and software licensing contracts, partnership, reseller and MSP contracts, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor contracts • Collaborate with and support the partner channel teams in facilitating and negotiating deals with partners • Provide expert legal advice and support to sales and other cross-functional teams on legal issues, including problem-solving with a focus on providing available options, discussing risks for options, and executing on options the client selects • Use standardized contract review and risk-assessment processes, including documenting contracts and obligations, and use contract and matter management tools and software • Coordinate with other internal team members on cross-functional issues, including privacy, security, compliance, and product, as needed • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial in-house role at a technology company or similar technical experience
  • Passion for the law, technology, and eagerness to learn
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with sales and partner channel teams in a technology company to achieve business objectives within the risk parameters established by the Legal team
  • Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across many internal and external stakeholders and teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to identify problems, propose solutions and execute
  • Conversant with business and legal operations systems such as Ironclad, Salesforce and Guru
  • Comfort in a remote environment, self-motivated to work asynchronously and independently as the manager and team members sit in different time zones throughout the US and EMEA
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and to communicate clearly and cross-functionally at all levels of the organization to support business-led decisions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A great sense of humor and a customer service mindset
  • Juris Doctorate and a relevant license to practice law in good standing.

Requirements - General schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, adaptive to the needs of the business. - Fully remote with some travel. Salary - Annual salary of $200,000 to $225,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus.
