Role Description We are currently seeking a talented Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Accountant to join our firm. As a Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Accountant, you will provide tax compliance and consulting services to a wide variety of exempt organizations, foundations, and other tax-exempt entities. You'll collaborate with an experienced team of exempt organization tax specialists to deliver an exceptional experience to clients while developing deep technical expertise in a highly specialized area of tax practice. This role offers meaningful client interaction, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a positive impact by serving organizations that strengthen our communities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to develop professionally. The successful candidate will join the exempt organizations tax team as either a Tax Accountant or Senior Tax Accountant, based on experience, with responsibilities and client leadership opportunities commensurate with experience. Position Details: - Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for exempt organizations, including Forms 990, 990-T, and 990-PF. - Assist with tax consulting projects and planning tax engagements. - Research federal and state tax issues affecting exempt organizations, including tax-exempt hospitals. - Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards. - Communicate with clients to obtain information, answer questions, and resolve tax issues. - Respond to IRS and state tax notices. - Manage multiple client engagements while meeting multiple deadlines. - Utilize tax software and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy. - Stay current on tax law developments affecting exempt organizations. - Manage day-to-day client communications appropriate to experience. - Collaborate with an experienced team dedicated exclusively to exempt organization taxation. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting. - CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure preferred. - 1+ years of public accounting or related tax experience. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. - Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight travel (less than 5%). Senior Fund Accountant Work Location: Singapore Work Mode: Hybrid Timings: 9AM to 6PM (SGT) The Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant works closely with and reports to Manager of Fund Solutions, and is responsible for management and financial accounting and reporting of assigned client portfolios. The Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant will work cooperatively with the rest of the team in an effective manner to motivate and coach the team, to continuously meet clients’ expectations, to optimize the work processes and to maintain close contacts with key clients. Deliverables + Key activities Key responsibilities include but are not limited to Client Management - Provide quality fund administration services for our clients, manage and maintain good and stable client relationships. - Actively interact with clients and counter-parties including legal counsels, auditors and tax advisors to meet key deadlines. - Assisting the Manager in the operational onboarding of new clients including coordinating client acceptance/onboarding process, agreement on services delivery which is laid down in an SLA. - Driving the execution of smooth onboarding of new clients by being responsible for providing complete client acceptance files “first time right” to the Compliance team. Accounting - Maintaining and enforcing adherence the policies and procedures of the Fund’s business line operating model. - Guiding the Fund Accountants in completing their work, and by extension acting as the first level of review. - Managing deliverables such as capital call/ distribution notices, subscription/redemptions confirmations, NAV statements, partners’ capital statements, management accounts etc., that are being produced by the team. - Review financial statements and ensure they are compliant with relevant accounting standards. - Facilitate the annual audit of the funds with communication with auditors. Operational efficiency & team management - Contribute and identify opportunity to the development and implementation of adequate and effective processes to improve the overall operations. - Assist in billing of service fees to clients and monitoring the collection of service fees from clients. - Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and tasks from time-to-time as required by your Managers or clients. - Support the implementation of new process and procedure within the team. Your Profile - Required level and content of education: - University degree in accounting, finance, economics or related disciplines - Preferably a qualified member with ISCA, ACCA or equivalent.
