• Manage a portfolio of outstanding debt to support cash collection targets and reduce aged debt. • Conduct a high volume of outbound calls and emails to clients regarding outstanding invoices. • Build and maintain effective relationships with Partners, Lawyers, and Clients to facilitate debt recovery. • Deliver a professional and customer-focused approach while managing sensitive collection conversations. • Investigate and resolve payment delays by liaising with internal departments and identifying root causes. • Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings to discuss debt recovery strategies and account management. • Prepare and distribute monthly statements of account using Excel. • Maintain accurate records, notes, and activity updates within the 3E system. • Develop and implement collection strategies to maximise recoveries and minimise overdue balances. • Ensure all collection activities are completed in line with company procedures and service standards.
• Day to day handling of a case load of paying party claims typically up to £100,000 claimed value • Draft points of dispute and provide legal advice on likely assessed outcomes relating to paying party claims • Supporting the Legal Director of the paying party team with operations and delivery of the paying party service • Acting as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience • Ensuring full compliance with clients' SLAs and DAC Beachcroft's internal protocols • Assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information • Ensure strict and ongoing adherence to benchmark standards in all work undertaken. • Demonstrating a high level of financial management in respect of own files • To hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of chargeable time, financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rates and average claim spend. • Achieve a minimum budgeted annual target of 1,440 chargeable hours per year based upon a full time lawyer • Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files. • Supporting marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training • Maintain an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans. • Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications • Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocol
• You are expected to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to our clients. Depending on your role, and with the support of your team Partners you will be expected to: • Work on a busy and varied case load encompassing a range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues for a variety of clients. You will be working as part of a team. • Maintain and develop technical knowledge by working alongside experienced colleagues, through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications and exceeding Law Society of Scotland CPD requirements. • Act as a point of contact for clients working in accordance with client protocols, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience. • Assist with business development activities with a view to developing and establishing contentious and non contentious work streams for the firm. Where appropriate assist in the preparation and delivery of pitches, presentations and training events. • Demonstrate sound file management – to include compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols and any client protocols as required; consistent and accurate billing and credit control; management of WIP and file closures; updating Management Information • Assume responsibility for accurate and timely management reporting and information • Maintain an understanding of other practice areas and develop an active internal network

• Primarily acting as counsel for clients in general civil litigation claims. • Providing a full and tailored client service from start to finish. • Providing support and guidance for other barristers with similar practice areas in a collegiate manner.
• Provide legal representation to drivers who are under police investigation or facing prosecution for serious and fatal road traffic offences; • Handle indictable/either way and summary offence cases; • Provide advice and assistance at inquests related to fatal road traffic collisions; • Day to day responsibilities will include analysing and advising upon evidence, attending police interviews, briefing counsel, reporting to insurer clients, interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements; • Responsible for financial management of own caseload, to include regular billing; • Working to productivity and fee income targets, as well as client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); • Handle a varied workload in accordance with client protocols; • Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience; • Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files; • Build an awareness of the Firm's other services. • The role is to work within one of our Property Recoveries teams. This is predominantly a claimant based role. • Depending on workloads in the team the candidate will be asked to undertake: • General recoveries tasks consisting of predominantly investigatory work on all fast, intermediate and multi-track files. • Investigating liability on a variety of general recoveries claims, ranging from escapes of water, flooding, impact and fire damage etc. • Handling their own case load, including negotiating quantum and settlement of damages with third parties. • Obtaining witness statements; contacting relevant parties to obtain salient documents; drafting letters of claim, issuing proceedings, disclosure, instructing Counsel/experts, progressing a file through to Trial. • Supporting marketing and business development activities within the team. • Maintaining an awareness of the firm's core strategies and aims. Handling confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols. • Exercise full compliance with client and internal protocols for billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files. • Achieve key measures set each financial year including a minimum budgeted annual target of 1440 chargeable hours per year. • You will also have the opportunity to become involved in marketing and client facing activities in order to build the business and their career. • This is an expanding business with good opportunities for career progression.
• Proactively running a case load of small/fast/intermediary and/or multi-track litigated claims in strict adherence to the Service Level Agreement(s) entered into with the insurer client and assisting senior colleagues with more complex cases. • Be responsible for managing all financial aspects of their caseload, to include billing in strict adherence to the Service Level Agreement(s) entered into with the insurer client, managing WIP, debt and resolving general accounting queries. • Day to day responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following: - Analysis of evidence and setting case strategies encompassing both technical and commercial considerations, obtaining and drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, conducting (telephone) negotiation of claims, preparing detailed counter schedules, sound file management – to include consistent and accurate: billing; management of WIP and file closures; updating Management Information. • Participate in business development and client training events where necessary
• Working within the Corporate Insurance & Risk (CIR) team, your caseload will be made up of a mixture of EL and PL claims, predominantly for corporate clients • Provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to corporate clients in the management of injury cases • Be responsible for effectively and commercially handling a varied caseload of EL and PL work with an appropriate level of supervision • Act as a trusted advisor for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience • Create value to clients, by identifying opportunities and delivering creative, bespoke legal solutions to support the challenges they face • Support marketing and business development activity within CIR (e.g. attending marketing events, delivering client training, clinics, meetings and entertainment activities) • Build an awareness of DAC Beachcroft's other services • Build effective internal and external networks • Maintain an awareness of the Firm's strategies and plans • Handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols • Potential for supervision and management responsibilities in the future • Comply with internal and external service level agreements • Record timely and accurate management information • Meet individual performance measures
• Managing your own caseload of multi-track recovery claims, from initial investigation through to settlement, mediation or trial. • Investigating liability in relation to a wide range of property damage incidents, including high value escapes of water, fire, flood, oil spills, impact damage, construction-related losses and other complex recovery matters. • Conducting detailed liability, causation and quantum investigations, including analysis of technical and expert evidence. • Obtaining witness statements, securing key documentary evidence and liaising with insureds, brokers, loss adjusters, experts and third parties. • Drafting pre-action correspondence, Letters of Claim, pleadings and other court documentation. • Progressing claims through the litigation process, including disclosure, witness evidence, expert instruction, settlement negotiations and Trial preparation. • Negotiating settlements and maximising recoveries on behalf of insurer clients. • Working collaboratively with colleagues, Counsel, forensic experts and industry-leading clients on technically challenging matters. • Contributing to client relationship management, business development and marketing initiatives to support the continued growth of the practice. • Maintaining compliance with all client service standards, regulatory requirements and the firm's information security and data protection protocols. • Demonstrating strong financial and commercial management of your files, including billing, WIP management, recoverability and credit control. • Achieving key performance measures, including a minimum annual chargeable hours target of 1,440 hours.
