Technology Communications Specialist II

• Gather, synthesize, and organize large amounts of complex technical information • Write, edit, review, and publish technical content that expresses complex ideas clearly and accurately based on audience needs • Write, edit, and publish release note documentation for product releases • Develop task- and reference-based documentation and other deliverables • Collaborate effectively with peers across functions to create and validate technical deliverables • Learn both the technical and business processes for assigned software and understand how the software supports department and overall business goals • Manage own priorities and workload independently • Demonstrate initiative in solving recurring challenges • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience through process enhancement, documentation improvements, and automation opportunities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of technical writing experience
- 2+ years of proven experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Membership in the Society for Technical Communication or other professional association of technical writers (preferred)
- Proficiency in release-note-based documentation
- Excellent writing, communication, and research skills
- Knowledge of agile/scrum processes
- Experience working within an SDLC team producing software releases (preferred)
- Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA (preferred)
