Corporate Communications Manager
Honeycomb.io
• Set direction for and execute on our global communications plans – with a focus on creating scalable, programmatic integrated communications activities – enhancing Honeycomb’s voice in the market and reinforcing its leadership in AI observability. • Create and maintain an active thought leadership program including building relationships with and providing counsel to the current bench of subject matter experts, identifying new thought leaders and cultivating new storylines that support Honeycomb’s goals. • Oversee, identify and submit for industry awards or recognitions and speaking opportunities that validate Honeycomb’s category leadership, innovation strategy, company culture and customer champions. • Partner with our PR agency to manage day-to-day activities, guide the short- and long-term program direction, etc. while connecting the team with Honeycomb’s experts to drive timely and relevant stories to the market (via media articles, communities, newsletters, podcasts, events, etc). • Advocate for corporate communications within Honeycomb, sharing our news, success and POV across the employee community. This includes ensuring coverage is socialized on our corporate social channels, website and within our internal communications infrastructure (Slack, intranet, etc) as well as enabling the Sales teams with details on why coverage matters and details on how to use it to engage with prospects. • Create sustainable metrics to measure the influence that the communications program is having on business outcomes. This includes Honeycomb’s perception in the market including share of voice and prompt/brand visibility via LLMs (i.e. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini). • Support any milestone corporate events (i.e. product launches, partner announcements, etc), crisis communications incidents, people team collaborations and more.
Job Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in external communications and/or journalism with a strength in storytelling, media relations, executive counsel, project management and collaboration
- PR agency and/or in-house communications experience preferred
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Executive management and relationship building is a must
- Preference for understanding of technical topics in B2B SaaS space; ability to digest technical information and reiterate for variety of audience is critical
- Experience using LLMs to scale programming and tactical execution
- Social media proficiency is preferred but not required
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
