Application Engineer – High Speed Interconnects

• Serve as a technical interface between 3M and customers for high-speed interconnect solutions • Support customer design-in activities for fiber optic connectivity, optical transport, and high-speed communication systems • Provide technical consultation to customers, sales teams, and channel partners on product selection • Drive adoption of 3M interconnect solutions by understanding customer architectures • Collaborate with product development, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams • Lead technical discussions, product demonstrations, evaluations, and troubleshooting efforts • Support qualification activities by developing test plans and analyzing results • Assist customers in resolving field and application issues • Contribute to technical documentation, application notes, customer presentations, and training materials • Monitor industry trends, competitive technologies, and emerging standards in optical fiber interconnects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of experience in a customer-facing technical, applications engineering, systems engineering, or product support role
- Two (2) years of experience with high-speed interconnect technologies, including optical fiber and/or copper connectivity solutions
- Current, valid Driver’s License

Your Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, test, and support Epic Bridges and Data Courier workflows and configurations. - Become an expert in Epic Bridges and Data Courier by completing certification and staying current with upgrades and enhancements. - Analyze clinical and operational needs to create tailored solutions within Epic. - Partner with department leads, end users, and IT teams to optimize system performance and usability. - Lead and participate in project planning, workflow design sessions, testing, and go-live support. - Maintain detailed documentation and follow change control procedures. - Collaborate with training teams to create effective user education materials. - Identify, recommend, and implement best practices and process improvements. - Serve as a liaison between vendors, internal teams, and clinical users.
