Clinical Application Specialist

Role Description The Clinical Application Specialist is responsible for on-site client installation, configuration, training, and networking of Topcon’s medical devices in ophthalmology, optometry, and primary care. This individual will deliver clinical training to doctors, technicians, and support staff. The candidate will develop strong clinical and product knowledge while working with client’s physicians and other personnel. They will also provide clinical guidance and product support and communicate with our customers remotely when not traveling. The primary territory for this Clinical Applications Specialist position will be Washington and Oregon, but assignments may extend outside this territory depending upon the needs of the business. Job Duties: Clinical Responsibilities: - Device setup, configuration, networking and/or training end-users; physicians, technicians, and staff to become competent in the use of clinical hardware and software systems. - Communicate with end-users regarding training and installations expectations prior to appointment. - Perform or coordinate follow-up training activities with end-users if needed. - Work closely with Topcon and customer IT departments to ensure integration and functionality of device hardware and/or software clinical applications. - Stay up to date with the latest developments in clinical applications and recommend enhancements or upgrades as needed. - Support sales activity by performing product demos. - Support trade show activities by installing and configuring hardware and software systems. - Support Technical Support and Field Service Engineers for troubleshooting requests when necessary. Administrative: - Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all training sessions, support activities, and system modifications. - Prepare and present regular reports on the usage, performance, and effectiveness of clinical applications. - Coordinate schedule and travel with client/end user for installs, demos, or trade shows. - Complete mandatory reports. - Submit expense reports in a timely manner. Qualifications - Associate degree in health science and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training managing cross-functional projects to successful conclusion; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 3-5 years clinical experience in private or public ophthalmic environment as an Ophthalmic Photographer, Technician or Clinician. - Hands-on experience with configuration, installations, and networking. - COA, CRA or OCT-C certification a plus. Requirements - General product knowledge of ophthalmic equipment preferred. - General knowledge of ocular anatomy and physiology. - Knowledge of computer hardware & software applications. - Knowledge of basic Windows applications. - Strong verbal and written skills; ability to write detailed reports. - Organized and able to prioritize workload. - Must be able to work independently and multitask. - Strong problem-solving abilities. - Must be able to work independently and/or within a team environment. - Valid driver’s license and use of a car. - Candidates must hold a valid passport and/or REAL ID compliant identification. - Must be able to lift 300lbs. - Travel is 90% and the candidate must be located near an airport in Washington or Oregon, preferably in the Seattle or Portland metro area. Territory Sales Manager

Role Description Topcon Positioning System is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of a Lead Software Engineer, Survey and CAD Applications (C++, 3D). Job Purpose: - As part of the company development strategy, we need to grow talent in specific areas needed to continue the development of our software products. - Will work on the development of Field software for Windows/Linux/Android/iOS to support a wide range of Topcon and 3rd party equipment like GNSS Receivers, Robotic Optical Total Stations, depth finders, and laser range finders. Core Job Responsibilities: - Works with the project manager, team leader, and software team to plan and manage delivery schedules. - Acts as the single point of contact for all issues related to a particular software module development, high-level design, and delivery. - Evaluates and schedules all changes in the scope of the module design and delivery. - Performs modules maintenance, modifications, and enhancements to new/existing systems through programming, testing, and documenting. - Responsible for the Geomatics and CAD functionality in the software for Android/iOS/Windows/Linux written in Qt/Qml/C++ and intended for GNSS, Optical Field Survey, including laser scanner support. - Follows, recommends, and implements software processes. - Provides technical directions to others as necessary. - Analyze and resolve technical and application problems. Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. - Overall software development experience of at least 5 years. - 3+ years of professional experience in C++ development. - Experience with computational geometry, spatial algorithms, mass data algorithms, and/or 3D Rendering (DirectX, OpenGL) is needed. - Knowledge of QML and/or MFC is needed. - Experience in software development process implementation. - Experience with software development tools (configuration management, design, emulation, debugging, compilers, test, etc.). - Experience with Geodesy, GNSS and/or Optical Survey, CAD, laser scanner data processing will be a plus. - Experience with Android or iOS development is a plus. Requirements - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. - Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts. - Familiarity with cross-platform development and GUI frameworks. - Expert knowledge in C++, Standard Library, Boost. - Understanding of SQL databases like SQLite will be a plus. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. - Knowledge of bug tracking systems (JIRA) and version control systems. - Knowledge of Docker is a plus. - A good command (both written and speaking) of the English language is required for the job. - Knowledge of some of these skills: geometry, eigen, cgal, tin, surfaces, corridors, roading, parametric curves, splines, Bentley, Autodesk, Civil3D, Revit, DWG, ODA, cogo, geodesy, coordinate systems, LandXML, shapefile, las, point clouds, lidar, numerical methods can be a real asset. - Knowledge of these other Skills: C++20, boost, ASIO, static analysis, memory optimization, C++ templates, SQL, multithreading, lockfree can be a real advantage.
