Role Description Clinical Documentation Principal Trainer responsible for developing and delivering EHR training, supporting providers, and optimizing documentation workflows. Partners with informatics and IT to improve efficiency, compliance, and patient care outcomes. MUST BE A CERTIFIED CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION PRINCIPLE TRAINER FROM EPIC. Training Development & Delivery (40%) - Design, build, and maintain training curriculum for clinical documentation workflows (e.g., provider documentation, templates, SmartTools) - Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and at-the-elbow training to providers and clinical staff - Develop training materials including manuals, eLearning modules, quick reference guides, and simulations - Ensure training content aligns with system updates, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards EHR & Workflow Expertise (25%) - Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical documentation workflows within the EHR (Epic preferred) - Collaborate with application analysts and informatics teams to understand system design and changes - Translate technical build into end-user training content - Support go-live readiness activities and command center operations Optimization & Continuous Improvement (20%) - Identify documentation improvement opportunities through feedback, metrics, and workflow analysis - Partner with Clinical Informatics to support optimization initiatives and standardization efforts - Update training materials and strategies based on system enhancements and user needs - Promote best practices for accurate, efficient, and compliant documentation Governance & Collaboration (10%) - Participate in governance structures and workgroups related to clinical documentation - Provide input on system design decisions impacting documentation workflows - Ensure alignment with enterprise documentation standards and regulatory requirements Support & Evaluation (5%) - Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, proficiency assessments, and performance metrics - Provide ongoing support and coaching to end users - Maintain training environment and related documentation Qualifications - Epic-certified as Principal Trainer in Clinical Documentation - Required, 5 Years - Ability to work without close supervision, taking ownership of work activities, & ensuring training sessions & materials meet Epic's standards - Required - Experience with clinical documentation improvement (CDI) practices - Required, 3 Years - Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS) - Highly desired - Experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations or upgrades - Highly desired - Certified in developing the Epic training environments - Highly desired, 3 Years

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and execute instructor-led and web-based training programs to support VHA operational and clinical initiatives. • Conduct training needs assessments, evaluations, and analyses to identify communication, knowledge, and skill gaps among end users. • Translate identified training needs into effective workshops, learning modules, remedial training materials, and educational solutions. • Develop, update, and maintain training curricula, workbooks, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and other instructional resources. • Design and revise standard and customized instructional materials to ensure alignment with program objectives and adult learning principles. • Administer and support learning management systems (LMS), including course creation, enrollment tracking, reporting, and maintenance activities. • Develop, maintain, and manage training databases and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with program requirements. • Deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual, and online training sessions to diverse stakeholder groups. • Provide end-user support and guidance related to training content, systems, and learning resources. • Coordinate training logistics, schedules, communications, and administrative activities associated with training delivery. • Attend and actively participate in project meetings, working groups, committees, and stakeholder engagements. • Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and briefings to leadership, staff, and end users as required. • Assist with test administration activities, user readiness efforts, and training-related support for system implementations and enhancements. • Collaborate with subject matter experts, clinical personnel, and project teams to ensure training content reflects current workflows, policies, and best practices. • Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on participant feedback, evaluation results, and organizational needs.

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training sessions for: Microsoft Copilot Chat, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams Copilot, Outlook Copilot, Word Copilot, Excel Copilot, PowerPoint Copilot, SharePoint and OneDrive integrations • Teach employees how to use AI responsibly, securely, and effectively in daily workflows • Demonstrate real-world business use cases and productivity enhancements using Copilot tools • Conduct prompt engineering workshops and AI best-practice sessions • Provide individual mentoring and coaching • Create training materials including: User guides, Quick-reference sheets, Videos and tutorials, Hands-on labs, eLearning modules, Prompt libraries and templates • Develop role-based learning paths for executives, managers, and end users • Maintain current training content as Microsoft releases Copilot updates and new AI capabilities • Act as the primary point of contact for team members seeking AI-enabled technology, productivity tools, automation, and custom solutions • Facilitate the requirements-gathering process, translating business needs into potential solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, and other AI tools • Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Copilot within Microsoft 365 environments • Develop and implement best practices for AI-assisted workflows and automation • Troubleshoot Copilot-related technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure data privacy and compliance • Evaluate Copilot updates, enhancements, and integrations for business needs • Provide technical training and documentation for teams using AI-powered tools

• Lead new practices through Dandy’s onboarding program, helping them ramp up quickly and effectively. • Deliver engaging training sessions, both virtually and on-site, tailored to the learning styles and structure of each practice. • Demonstrate best practices in intraoral scanning and digital workflows, offering hands-on coaching during live sessions. • Build credibility and clinical trust that drives confidence and early adoption. • Take ownership of each launch, ensuring practices achieve key milestones from day one. • Serve as a trusted coach post-launch, helping practices refine workflows and overcome adoption barriers. • Monitor early scan quality and deliver clear, constructive feedback to drive technique improvement. • Identify gaps in product usage and offer targeted follow-up to close them. • Conduct First Case Monitoring sessions to reinforce best practices and ensure order success. • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to share insights and improve the customer journey. • Recognize early wins and celebrate progress to build practice confidence and momentum.
