Role Description As a Workday Financial Reporting and Accounting Lead, you’ll work in a team to implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for our global customer base, typically leading a project workstream. - Build relationships with customers, shaping and delivering solutions that are aligned to customer needs, fit for purpose, and commercially viable. - Provide excellent guidance to customers, understanding their business and requirements. - Support more junior members of the team and share your knowledge with them. - Drive customer transformation in their Workday experience through the revision and creation of Workday reports and analytical tools based on both customer requirements and our own capability best practices. - Transform customers’ Workday data into information that can drive their business decisions. Qualifications - Financial Accounting certification - Workday Advanced Reporting certification - Workday Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reporting Experience is essential to this role - Solid understanding of Workday products (HCM/Payroll/Financials) as well as any specialist capability. Financials experience is preferred. - Strong customer orientation, with experience in a customer-interacting, advisory environment. - Ability to understand customer needs and build relationships. - Clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation. - Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics. - Capable of working within (remote) teams and alongside customers, as well as on your individual tasks with no supervision. - Able to plan own workload and meet deadlines. - Some consulting skills e.g., presenting, participating in workshops, explaining functionality or solutions to customers. - Able to apply all relevant standards and procedures to your own work, maintaining high quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. - Aware of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensures security of information at all times. - Aware of the Kainos story and wider business offering. - Aware of company strategy and how to support it. - Capable of suggesting enhancements in tools and/or processes to benefit the practice. - Willing to learn in depth about relevant subject matter e.g., international regulatory requirements. - Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services, specifically Consulting and Application Management Services. - For Application Management Services, able to deliver work to meet defined Service Level Agreements. - Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required). • Managing the full accounting cycle for U.S.-based clients, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting • Serving as the main accounting point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of results • Applying startup accounting principles to balance best practices with resource constraints and evolving priorities • Making financial judgments in dynamic, less structured environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance • Integrating and optimizing external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting operations • Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions • Leveraging tools such as QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, and Google Drive daily, with the opportunity to work with Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, and Ramp • Staying current on emerging technologies and AI applications that can enhance accounting efficiency

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including performance reviews, training, and team-building initiatives • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines • Direct and continuously enhance HOA accounting processes, driving efficiency and operational effectiveness • Partner with peer managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the department • Prepare and deliver financial reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders, including Corporate Accounting and senior leadership • Support system conversions and ongoing general ledger (GL) operations • Participate in and lead special projects and initiatives as assigned • Coordinate and consolidate information for external HOA audits • Manage budgeting and forecasting activities • Operate with a high level of autonomy while proactively keeping leadership informed of key developments and risks • Influence both property-level (resort) and corporate-level financial operations and decision-making

What you do Each Day - Own the strategic roadmap for bookkeeping services to anticipate customer needs and market shifts rather than reacting to them. - Reimagine how bookkeeping work is delivered by identifying where AI, automation, and tooling can step-change quality, speed, and scale. - Build the operating model for efficient, scalable service delivery, including month-end close, reconciliation, and quality control. - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of bookkeeping professionals while building the adaptability to thrive amid evolving tools. - Define and monitor the KPIs that matter for service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction to drive data-informed decisions. - Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and fintech teams to refine and expand our accounting solutions. - Leverage the collective knowledge of your team to support the resolution of complex accounting matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Qualifications - 8+ years leading operations, preferably in service-division environments focused on bookkeeping or similar. - Experience managing teams of 25+, including remote teams, with demonstrated ability to scale and re-shape large service operations. - Strong leadership skills with a proven history of developing teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. - Demonstrated tracking using technology, automation, or AI to fundamentally improve how work gets done at scale. - Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through the strategic use of AI tools and automation. - Working understanding of bookkeeping services sufficient to guide sound process design and high-quality delivery. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience. Location Dependent Information This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $96,000-$120,000. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
