Role Description As a Senior Manager, Accounting Solutions, you own the strategy and operating model for our bookkeeping service, and shape what it becomes. This is not a role to maintain the status quo; our service division is growing quickly, the tooling landscape is changing fast, and we are betting on AI and automation to fundamentally reshape how bookkeeping work gets delivered. You will lean into that change, reimagine how the function operates, and bring a high-performing team through a period of rapid evolution. You set the vision for scalable, technology-enabled service delivery, make deliberate bets on where to automate and where to invest in people, and translate an ambiguous, shifting environment into clear direction for your team. You partner across product, fintech, strategy and operations, and go-to-market to align our accounting solutions with where the business and the market are heading — not just where they are today. What you do Each Day - Own the strategic roadmap for bookkeeping services to anticipate customer needs and market shifts rather than reacting to them. - Reimagine how bookkeeping work is delivered by identifying where AI, automation, and tooling can step-change quality, speed, and scale. - Build the operating model for efficient, scalable service delivery, including month-end close, reconciliation, and quality control. - Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of bookkeeping professionals while building the adaptability to thrive amid evolving tools. - Define and monitor the KPIs that matter for service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction to drive data-informed decisions. - Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and fintech teams to refine and expand our accounting solutions. - Leverage the collective knowledge of your team to support the resolution of complex accounting matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Qualifications - 8+ years leading operations, preferably in service-division environments focused on bookkeeping or similar. - Experience managing teams of 25+, including remote teams, with demonstrated ability to scale and re-shape large service operations. - Strong leadership skills with a proven history of developing teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. - Demonstrated tracking using technology, automation, or AI to fundamentally improve how work gets done at scale. - Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through the strategic use of AI tools and automation. - Working understanding of bookkeeping services sufficient to guide sound process design and high-quality delivery. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience. What Will Help You Succeed - Hands-on experience deploying AI or automation tooling within an operational or service-delivery context. - Experience working with home services professionals, contractors, or similar industry segments. - Strong analytical skills with a focus on operational efficiency and data integrity. - Knowledge of industry best practices in accounting systems and technology or related industries. - CPA or EA certification is a plus. - A multi-dimensional background with a breadth of cross-functional interests or depth of specialized mastery. - Personal resilience to learn from scratch, and successfully thrive in ambiguity. Location Dependent Information This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $96,000-$120,000. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
