Level 2 NOC Systems Administrator – Network Focus
Unisys
• Provides Systems Administration support for an organization, functional unit or line of business. • Administers development, test and production servers, including reloading, re-imaging and debugging problems. • Installs, removes and upgrades software packages on test, development and production servers. • Performs daily monitoring of network systems, independently initiating proactive measures to ensure functionality, connectivity and load balance. • Troubleshoots systems and host environments, identifying and resolving faults, inconsistencies and systemic issues. • Evaluates, recommends and implements solutions to ensure systems functionality and compliance with company standards. • Provides network and systems evaluation and operational reports. • Updates systems records and ensures maintenance of accurate information. • Ensures computer programs in company use are properly licensed, adhere to company standards and are operational and functional. • Assists systems users by creating instructional how-to guides and by providing technical information and training.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Therefore, to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot enterprise routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, firewall, and telecommunications infrastructure. • Configure and support Cisco Catalyst, Cisco DNA Center, Meraki, Silver Peak (EdgeConnect), Cradlepoint, Palo Alto, and Prisma networking and security platforms. • Respond to and resolve network incidents including node outages, interface failures, BGP routing issues, WAN connectivity problems, packet loss, latency concerns, and security-related network events. • Support BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, ACLs, QoS, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network segmentation technologies. • Utilize SolarWinds and network analysis tools to monitor performance, identify issues, and maintain operational stability. • Manage ISP circuits, MPLS, broadband, LTE, SD-WAN, and carrier services. • Perform network hardware installations, firmware upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and configuration changes. • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures. • Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for escalated network incidents and service requests.
