Job Description

Director, Packaging Engineer

The Coca-Cola Company

• Lead and support packaging engineering projects across various packaging material categories • Conduct packaging material evaluations, testing, qualifications, and documentation • Identify and resolve packaging-related issues in manufacturing environments • Ensure packaging systems meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements • Provide technical support during line trials, validations, and material changes • Develop project scopes, timelines, and deliverables • Coordinate with manufacturing teams, suppliers, quality groups, and procurement • Manage multi-site project activities and ensure consistent implementation • Maintain accurate records, test results, and project status updates • Assess existing packaging solutions for opportunities to improve performance or reduce cost • Review new materials and technologies relevant to operational needs • Recommend improvements to packaging processes and specifications

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering
  • 7+ years of professional experience in innovation and creative work
  • Experience working with packaging development for beverage applications
  • Experience working with a range of process technologies
  • Experience commercializing a new technology
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
