Senior Accountant
First Stop Health
• responsible for the accounting and reporting of payroll, employee benefits, and contracted medical provider payments • preparing payroll journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and benefit-related accounting activities to support the monthly close process • maintains oversight of payroll and benefit liabilities, insurance-related expenses, and provider payment processing • ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely • plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in both public accounting and corporate environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
