Role Description Workstate seeks a QA Tester to join our dedicated team! As a QA Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with developers and other QA team members to identify issues, execute test plans, and verify that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our clients. This position is a remote opportunity, available to people residing in Colombia or Argentina with the legal right to work there. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing - Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies - Experience with test case creation and execution, bug tracking, and reporting tools - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Basic understanding of programming concepts and languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL) - Experience testing new integrations, using tools like Postman, Soap UI, etc. - Experience participating in or running bug bashes - Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Willingness to learn new technologies and tools as needed Requirements - If you are excited about this position but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with all the listed skills, we encourage you to apply anyway. • Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle across Backcountry’s web, API, and mobile platforms. • Define scalable QA frameworks, automation strategies, and release validation standards that support a weekly deployment cadence. • Drive shift-left practices, integrating quality checks early in the SDLC to reduce downstream defect costs. • Maintain and improve functional, regression, and performance/load testing coverage using tools like Playwright, Postman, and JMeter. • Develop, coach, and grow QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement. • Influence quality practices across engineering teams, even without direct authority over every contributor. • Champion Playwright as the primary automation framework and expand coverage across web and API surfaces. • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation processes, including occasional after-hours deployments.

• Analyzing, designing, and executing functional and integration test cases • Designing and maintaining test documentation and test scenarios • Collaborating closely with the development team to ensure the highest product quality • Identifying, reporting, and tracking system defects across testing environments • Performing regression, UAT, interface, integration, functional, and exploratory testing • Participating in requirements analysis and implementation design reviews • Proposing improvements to testing processes and product quality • Contributing to the development of testing standards and best practices • Supporting release processes and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Presenting tested solutions to stakeholders • Act as an advisor and support the team in building/shaping the test automation process for Salesforce (as an additional professional development opportunity)
