Founding Sales Engineer

• Lead technical discovery throughout the sales process, uncovering partner program structure, CRM and tooling requirements, integration needs, security constraints, and success criteria. • Scope, design, and execute proofs of concept that demonstrate the platform's ability to solve the prospect's specific challenges. • Own the technical close, including RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and architecture reviews. • Own a structured hand-off from Sales to Onboarding for every closed deal. • Deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to each prospect's industry, CRM environment, and partner strategy. • Define and document the SE playbook, including discovery frameworks, POC templates, RFP libraries, and hand-off processes.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture within a B2B SaaS environment
- Proven track record as the technical lead on enterprise or mid-market deals involving complex integrations and configurations
- Experience owning proofs of concept end-to-end and driving timely customer decisions
- Experience leading or contributing to RFPs, RFIs, and security review processes

Role Description As a Sales Engineer at Blink, you’ll partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to help prospective customers understand and adopt automation. You’ll lead discovery, demo, and POC stages - translating security problems into automated solutions powered by Blink. A key part of this role is business-level discovery: identifying the customer’s strategic objectives and mapping Blink’s platform capabilities to measurable business outcomes. You’ll be instrumental in helping customers realize the value of automation - not just through technical execution, but by aligning automation use cases to their security and operational goals. You should be comfortable navigating both technical and business conversations. Your ability to explain automation, model logic-based workflows, and connect capabilities to real-world outcomes will be essential. This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or the St. Louis area.
