Commercial Finance Lead

Role Description We are looking for a Commercial Finance Lead to join the Commercial Finance team at StackAdapt during this critical build stage and play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy behind StackAdapt’s growth journey. Reporting to the Director, Global Commercial Finance, this role will partner closely with the North American revenue teams. - Deal Reviews & Governance: Support the revenue team with commercial negotiations through the review and approval of deals and initiatives. Create financial models to assess proposals and pricing options, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across the business. - Commercial Business Partnering: Provide finance support to the divisional and regional revenue leaders, offering detailed financial analysis and insights into performance, profitability, planning, and strategic decision-making. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate across Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Credit/AR), Revenue Operations, and Legal teams to ensure end-to-end alignment on commercial activity, financial results, and forecasting. - Reporting Excellence: Develop and maintain tools to track revenue and profitability performance against expectations, identifying opportunities and providing actionable insights. Conduct in-depth analysis, proactively identifying key trends, risks, and growth opportunities to guide leadership. Qualifications - 5–6 years post-professional qualification (CPA or equivalent) experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Analytics, ideally within a high-growth or global technology environment. - Proven ability to build complex financial models (e.g. pricing simulations, investment proposals, business cases) and extract actionable insights from large datasets. - Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with Sales leaders and cross-functional teams. - Advanced Excel skills; Google Sheets know-how is a plus. AI skills and experience utilizing LLMs at work is a significant plus, alongside experience with data tools like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI. - Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and commercial tools is an asset. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, global environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
