Senior Technical Sales Project Engineer

Carrier

• Provide project management and engineering support for data center and industrial projects • Provide specialized commercial applied HVAC equipment selections and pricing • Prepare technical documentation including submittal packages, close-out documents, and others • Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers • Have an ability to coordinate across multiple functions and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment • Manage Salesforce opportunities for internal tracking and strategizing organizational needs • Coordinate with Carrier Commercial Service organization to provide turn-key proposals for industrial and data center service

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of Commercial HVAC industry experience
  • Available for up to 30% domestic travel, with the potential for international travel as business needs evolve
  • Proven track record in Inside Sales, Sales Engineering, and/or Project Management, with a strong emphasis on technical solution delivery and account coordination
  • Deliver high-level technical sales support and HVAC design assistance
  • Specialized commercial applied HVAC equipment selections and pricing experience
  • Technical proficiency with Data center design experience and central utility plant design experience
  • Proactive and self-directed with a proven dedication to project outcomes and the ability to maintain momentum in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, ranging from external clients to internal cross-functional teams in sales, engineering, and manufacturing
  • Demonstrates meticulous ability to manage the end-to-end execution of complex tasks, consistently delivering results through disciplined follow-up and rigorous attention to project milestones
  • Meticulously organized with a sharp attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage competing demands and maintain high standards under tight deadlines

This individual will participate in web meetings, phone, email, and in-person direct prospect and customer interactions to quickly assess requirements, demonstrate SnapLogic's innovative products, and support proof of concept/proof of value engagements.  The role will also involve troubleshooting product issues and / or providing acceptable workarounds, and documenting product enhancements and communicating with SnapLogic's Product Management team.   What You'll Do: - Partner with the Enterprise Account Executives (EAEs) and the Channel and Alliances team to help qualify and technically prove out opportunities for SnapLogic - Prepare and present solutions to address cloud / on-premise / hybrid integration requirements with prospective customers - Respond to requests for information/proposals - Scope, document, and execute successful proof of concepts - High-level design and architecture of a prospective customer's deployment of SnapLogic's products - Work with SnapLogic inter-department personnel locally and globally including professional services, sales, product management, customer success, and engineering - Become a trusted technical advisor to customers What We're Looking For: - 5+ years of technical experience. - Experience in product applications, ability to understand and explain related technical issues, working knowledge of company products, all potential applications, and effective communication skills. - 3+ years in pre-sales environment for a software vendor in the iPaaS, API management, ETL, ESB or similar space. - Excellent written and presentation skills and the ability to consult and empathize with customers. - Strong hands-on relational database skills, SaaS and cloud computing/web 2.0 technologies. - Experience running proof of concept engagements from start to finish. - Good understanding of Java programming is a plus. - Data and application integration knowledge and experience is a big plus. - University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related technical degree is preferred. - Start up experience is a big plus. - Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
