AI Application Engineer

Workana

• Build and maintain AI-powered applications, workflows, and automations. • Work with LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines, and agentic frameworks. • Develop full-stack features, including backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces. • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to prototype and ship quickly. • Support production systems by troubleshooting issues, improving reliability, and contributing to operational workflows. • Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team across different time zones. • Participate in PRs, releases, technical discussions, and continuous product improvements. • Help improve the AI pipeline, including document processing, quality control, and automation logic.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with Python and modern web applications.
  • Strong familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Experience building or integrating LLM-based applications, AI agents, automations, or RAG systems.
  • Understanding of production software workflows: Git, PRs, debugging, deployment, and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS; GCP experience is a plus.
  • Experience with APIs, databases, and backend/frontend development.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and follow technical direction.
  • Availability to overlap with U.S. working hours.
  • Good communication skills and a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.

  • Experience with n8n or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Experience with MCP, vector databases, or advanced RAG pipelines.
