Job Description

Manager, Contracts

RTX

• Represent the organization on contractual matters and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders. • Ensure all contracting activities comply with corporate policies, procedures, and governance requirements. • Lead the negotiation and execution of complex commercial contracts. • Review customer RFPs, assess requirements and terms, support proposal development, and coordinate internal approvals. • Identify contractual and business risks and recommend clear, practical mitigation strategies. • Partner with program management and develop an understanding of relevant products, services, and technical considerations. • Deliver strategic analysis and recommendations to support business and contractual decisions. • Prepare accurate, complete, and professionally formatted documentation for negotiations and contractual records. • Maintain organized, audit-ready contract files in accordance with departmental standards. • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity while meeting deadlines and quality expectations. • Support business travel up to 10%.

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Commercial contracts experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Contracts aerospace experience supporting airlines, airframe manufacturers, and aftermarket programs or services
  • U.S. Government contract experience
  • Experience working with FAR and DFARS
