Field Service Technician – Installer

Simoniz USA, Inc.

• Perform quality installation and service on all vehicle-wash equipment and accessories • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues • Provide personalized customer service • Develop and maintain rapport with customers • Make beneficial recommendations regarding technical maintenance • Enter information into the company computer system per training requirements • Daily travel in the service area

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical school education preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of electrical experience
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills
  • Available to work overtime
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Car wash installation and service experience preferred
  • Complete required safety training
  • Wear specified personal protective equipment as needed
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• You’ll take ownership of the preparation and readiness of TOMRA machines across your region, acting as the key link between field teams, operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) partner. • A big part of the role is building capability within the partner, embedding simple and repeatable processes, and ensuring machines are correctly configured, tested, and ready for smooth installation. • Alongside this, you’ll work hands-on with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the field, supporting engineers, improving processes, and helping scale a consistent, high-quality operating model as the UK rollout grows. • Take regional ownership for machine preparation, configuration, and readiness before customer delivery. • Act as the link between field teams, operations, and third-party logistics partners. • Manage and train 3PL teams, ensuring machines are correctly pre-configured, tested, and dispatched to standard. • Work closely with Field Service Engineers to enable smooth installation and handover. • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot TOMRA machines on-site, reducing downtime and ensuring performance. • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and scalability across the region. • Build strong customer relationships while maintaining accurate records, tools, and inventory standards. • Shift or weekend work may be required as the service organisation continues to expand.
