Field Service Engineer
Hitachi
• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills • Deliver outstanding services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance, and repairs • Exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating their needs • Troubleshoot equipment failures and proactively prevent issues • Identify and resolve electrical or mechanical problems with minimal assistance • Develop potential sales and business opportunities through customer knowledge • Suggest product and process improvements to enhance operations • Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis
Job Requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes
- Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades
- College or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset
- Over 5 years of experience in technical field service work with power/mechanical equipment
- Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software
- Current driver's license valid in the US and ability to work in the US
- Ability to travel to the US, Canada, and Mexico
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States

• Responsible for PPM and small works projects across a few buildings • Servicing all types of valve sets • Carrying out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps • Conducting general service checks
• Provide direct support to a Northrop Grumman Maritime Targeting Cell (MTC) prototype system • Be the system subject matter expert, providing training on the system hardware and software • Support the Marines in the unit with system operations, employment, and routine maintenance • Execute hardware preventative maintenance, write procedures, perform Break/Fix, touch maintenance • Meet the requirements of DoD 8570.1-M at the IAT II or IAT III Level • Create discrepancy reports (DR’s) and provide weekly status reports to factory in Aurora, CO
