Associate Director, Global Trade Investigations
RTX
• Conduct internal investigations of matters implicating export control and sanctions compliance concerns, including interviewing witnesses, gathering relevant documents, and consulting with subject matter experts across Pratt & Whitney and RTX • Research the applicability of U.S. and foreign regulations concerning controlled military and dual-use items, and determine whether a matter constitutes a violation of Global Trade regulations or policies • Draft disclosures and reports for submission to U.S. and foreign government agencies and internal stakeholders • Support Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures group initiatives and projects, as needed • Continually enhance and improve Pratt & Whitney’s 'Speak Up' culture while acting with integrity at all times
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree and 10+ years of legal experience, including five years as a practicing attorney
- Good standing with a state bar association and in-house counsel registration in a timely manner following hire
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites
- Familiarity and experience with U.S. export, import, and sanctions regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Sophistication in the use and understanding of digital technology tools, including software platforms used in engineering and manufacturing disciplines
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal clients, and Global Trade professionals enterprise-wide
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal daily supervision and to balance numerous priorities within competing timeframes
- Background within an aerospace manufacturing environment beneficial, but not required.
