Senior Finance Transformation Manager

Instacart

• Lead large-scale finance transformation projects focused on improving processes, systems, controls, and operational effectiveness. • Act as a finance subject matter expert, providing insights, evaluating alternative solutions, and championing financial requirements in transformation initiatives. • Evaluate and implement innovative technologies, tools, and solutions, including AI, to enhance operational accuracy, efficiency, and risk management practices. • Convert strategic financial and operational plans into actionable project roadmaps. • Own the end-to-end delivery of key initiatives by managing timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and outcomes. • Clearly communicate project goals, updates, resource needs, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels, including executives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key improvement opportunities within financial processes and workflows. • Facilitate sessions for root cause analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation of internal controls. • Design and implement scalable, efficient processes aligned with organizational growth and financial controllership goals. • Develop and execute a robust change management strategy to promote adoption of new systems and processes. • Organize and lead brainstorming workshops and problem-solving sessions to address challenges and identify creative solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, with a strong background in project management and financial transformation work
  • At least 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects and/or system implementations
  • Experience implementing and driving adoption of innovative tools or technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and effective control setups
  • Proficient in leveraging financial systems to implement technical policies
  • Proven track record as a change leader with strong influence on leadership and project teams
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with significant analytical and interpersonal abilities.
