Principal DevSecOps Solutions Engineer

GuidePoint Security

• Lead technical presales activities for strategic Application Security, Cloud Security, and AI Security opportunities, serving as the escalation point for complex, regulated deals • Partner with Account Executives to develop deal strategies, qualify opportunities, and deliver risk-informed recommendations that drive closure • Maintain technical credibility with senior stakeholders by articulating security risks, architectural tradeoffs, and outcome-driven solutions • Refine presales processes and execution quality across AppSec, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security practices in collaboration with engineering leadership • Contribute to the design and launch of new service offerings, providing sales enablement and technical positioning for DevSecOps services • Deliver internal enablement and thought leadership on AppSec, Cloud Security, and AI topics, including emerging threats and service differentiation • Represent GuidePoint as a subject matter expert at industry events, customer briefings, and technical forums • Participate in delivery activities for strategic initiatives or service incubation when critical technical gaps exist • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years in Application Security, Cloud Security, AI Security, or DevSecOps with hands-on experience in application development, SAST/SCA tools, or AI security frameworks
  • 7+ years in client-facing presales, solutions architecture, or security consulting roles
  • Deep expertise with application security testing platforms (Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx, Semgrep), DAST tools, and CI/CD security integration
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, OWASP SAMM, MITRE ATT&CK, and secure SDLC principles
  • Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and technical writing skills for customer engagement and proposal development.
