Role Description The Remote Commissioning Engineer executes remote and shop-based configuration, commissioning, testing, and validation activities for audiovisual, unified communications, and integrated technology systems. The role ensures systems are properly configured, thoroughly tested, and documented before deployment while providing technical expertise and remote support to field engineers, service teams, and project stakeholders. The Remote Commissioning Engineer serves as a subject matter expert for assigned technologies and contributes to efficient project delivery through proactive troubleshooting, documentation, and risk identification. Roles and Responsibilities - Execute remote and shop-based commissioning activities for AV, UC, control, DSP, and collaboration systems. - Configure systems according to approved designs, standards, and project requirements. - Perform functional testing, integration testing, validation, and re-testing of systems prior to deployment. - Provide subject matter expertise and advanced technical support for assigned technologies. - Support field engineers during commissioning, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. - Coordinate and execute remote smart-hands deployments with onsite personnel. - Document configurations, test results, commissioning activities, and system changes. - Create and maintain commissioning records, handoff documentation, and technical reports. - Identify technical risks, design gaps, and system issues and escalate appropriately. - Support service teams with scoped troubleshooting and technical assistance. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned activities. - Follow established commissioning standards, workflows, and documentation procedures. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s Degree - 1-3 years experience - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in live remote support environments. - Ability to interpret system drawings, schematics, narratives, and technical documentation. - Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Collaboration, Zoom Rooms, or similar UC platforms. - Knowledge of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, and system integration principles. - Experience with DSP platforms such as Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, or equivalent technologies. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. - Excellent organizational and documentation skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - Ability to identify and escalate technical risks appropriately. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms. - Willingness to work flexible schedules when required to support global projects. - Experience supporting enterprise conferencing environments. - Experience with commissioning and validation processes. - Experience providing remote support for field engineers and smart-hand resources. Role Description The Integrations Engineer will be focused on support and technical debt, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing API connections and data flows between systems to ensure stability. The engineer will resolve live production incidents and refactor legacy code.
