Role Description The Regional Director of Engineering – West Coast is responsible for leadership and development of regional / specialty project engineering associates. The position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering. He or she is accountable for the development, resourcing, implementation, and continuous improvement of the regional / specialty project engineering team. A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the construction process, systems integration, IT engineering as well as architectural and construction drawings and specifications is required. In addition, accountable for ensuring the project engineering team is aligned with the needs of our clients by partnering with regional / specialty sales and PMO. He or she will be accountable to ensure resources are shared across the business unit and the company. This role will work closely with the PMO leaders, Project Ops Leaders, and Sales Enablement leaders in region / specialty as a delivery team. The role is accountable for motivating, mentoring, ability to demonstrate being a student of the business, communicating and navigating. NOTE: while this is a virtual position day-to-day, it supports Diversified clients in the US West Coast region; as such we require the candidate to reside in that geography. Role Description The Solutions Architect (SA) is a subject matter expert (SME) and technology thought leader who contributes their deep knowledge of process and technology to the core team for Rollouts & Named Accounts engagement. The SA provides direction and advice through the project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to implementation support. As the technical thought leader on a project team, the SA is instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with SMEs and project teams as required. The SA is also responsible for mentoring other members of the design engineering staff. Reporting Director – Rollouts & Named Accounts, the SA’s project assignments are determined by Engineering Leadership based on enterprise-wide demands. The SA is also responsible for reviewing drawing packages produced by project teams. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of SA. On occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects.
