Role Description Our team owns full-cycle recruiting for technical, R&D roles across Mapbox, partnering closely with engineering & product to bring in the talent that drives our core platform forward. We're a team of 10 recruiters split across the US and Europe, giving us strong regional coverage while operating as one connected global team. As we continue to grow our US presence, this role will play a key part in continuing to scale our recruiting capability in the US and beyond. Work Location: Remote (US-based). Candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone (EST) are preferred, but this is not a prerequisite. What You'll Do - Full Life Cycle Recruiting: Manage end-to-end recruiting across all R&D functions from initial research and sourcing to offer negotiations and closing. - Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic Talent Partner to our R&D Hiring Managers & Leaders, aligning technical hiring with long-term business objectives. - Sourcing Strategy: Build and execute data-driven sourcing strategies that leverage a global network of high-caliber technical talent. - Stakeholder Management: Develop and nurture strong partnerships with R&D leadership and hiring managers, acting as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, market conditions, and hiring decisions. - Compensation: Partner with Total Rewards and Finance departments to report on and negotiate compensation packages, including equity structures and performance incentives. - Intelligence & Analytics: Provide market mapping, competitive intelligence, and real-time pipeline health reports to talent leadership and hiring managers to help inform decision making. - Operational Excellence: Standardize and optimize the R&D hiring journey, ensuring the best candidate and hiring manager experience. - Project Management: Lead and drive talent acquisition projects and initiatives, from process improvements and employer branding to framework development and tooling implementation. Qualifications - 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a proven track record of hiring Software Development Engineers & Engineering Managers within high-growth tech environments. - Experience hiring technical talent across the US, along with a deep understanding of international hiring nuances. - Experience hiring within Europe, in particular; Finland, Germany, Poland & the UK is a strong bonus. - Expert at navigating negotiations involving competitive compensation packages, equity structures, and buy-out scenarios. - A commitment to using market intelligence and funnel analytics to optimize pipeline health and influence decisions. - Passion for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to continuously evolve recruiting practices, from talent discovery to stakeholder reporting. - A communication style and cadence that builds immediate trust with top talent and maintains long-term candidate pipelines. - A thrive in ambiguity mindset, with the creative problem-solving skills needed to overcome hiring challenges within the super competitive tech landscape. - A genuine team-first approach where collaboration comes naturally. Compensation Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $167,450 to $226,550. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including individual qualifications, market demands, and specific work location.
