Title: Part Time Weekend Inbound Associate Location: Racine United States Part-Time On-site Rate: $16 USD per hour Job Description: Schedule: 7am - 5:30pm, Saturday & Sunday The Inbound Associate performs various tasks to prepare and list items to be sold online and shipped to customers across the country. RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Demonstrates the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Performs various tasks to prepare and list items to be sold online and shipped to customers across the country. Examine, test, and evaluate various networking electronic equipment to determine value and functionality. Utilizes innovation and expertise to assist with special projects, including training and mentoring of new associates. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: - Accurately represent items in photographs: plans presentation, camera position, camera angle, lighting, and key shots to produce desired effect. - Research items, accurately portray weights, measures, used disclaimers and assigned shipping and handling charges appropriately. - Determine merchandise value based on quality, trends, brands, and price guides. - Fully and accurately write all product descriptions and attributes (including damages). Writes test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations or needed repairs, if needed. - Uses software and hardware to properly dispose of data-on-data bearing devices following appropriate procedures. - Disassembles whole system into components, subcomponents and commodities using various tools. - Responsible for using proper warehouse equipment to ensure sufficient inventory is available for listing at stations. - Assist with training and mentoring of associates. - Maintain production environment standards with a positive and team focused process, assuring optimal efficiencies. - Maintain an organized and clean work area, follow safety procedures, using PPE as needed and uses body mechanics when performing each task. - Meet or exceed daily productivity goals through the efficient handling of product; processing items quickly and accurately and rotate between stations on a regular basis. - Maintain confidentiality of sales information. - Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. May serve as a team member or subject matter expert on formal projects or within the department. Effectively engages in change, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change. - Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues. - Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations. - Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill's community engagement initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community. - Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: - Basic reading, writing and math skills. - Computer skills with a functional knowledge of word processing and how to use email and internet software. - Forklift certification, if required at site. - Must be able to function independently in a work setting. CORE COMPETENCIES: - Operates equipment and/or machinery correctly, safely and responsibly. - Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to all policies and procedures, Kaizen guidelines, safety and security regulations. - Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. - Contributes to the Goodwill Mission as a highly productive and collaborative member of the team. - Accurately track personal production as directed. PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: - Able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. - Able to bend and reach to work with merchandise. - Able to lift, push or pull a maximum of 75 pounds. - Manual dexterity to operate material handling equipment. - Able to grasp material for inspection and sorting activities. - Able to visually observe merchandise, markings and up-close use of jeweler loops. - Able to work independently. When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands and other qualifying criteria. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the rage for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each case. Certain roles are eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
