Director of Sales – PV and BESS Inverter
ABB
• Independently lead sales and business development activities for Inverter product line with assigned Solar and BESS (Utility, EPC and IPP) customer accounts • Develops customer contacts builds and maintains a sound customer focused network at all relevant hierarchical levels. • Generates value-oriented offers and respond to customer Request for proposals (RFP) in a timely manner • Work with assigned contract management team to close contracts in a timely manner and win business • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the North American market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends. • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the US and Canadian markets.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 10 or more years’ experience in selling Inverters/PCS for utility scale Solar and BESS customers in North America
- Previous experience in the PV and BESS industry and Industry relationships will be a significant advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
- Proven and verifiable experience successfully growing market share.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Adaptable, Proactive and good Time Management skills
- Travel as needed to support account management activities
