• Collaborate across a broad portfolio of sophisticated evidence synthesis projects • Oversee systematic literature reviews and/or quantitative evidence synthesis studies • Develop client-ready deliverables including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides • Manage delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other staff members • Reviews update slides/minutes for overall study and leads client calls

• Partner with ML and Computational Chemistry researchers to translate internal scientific code and prototypes into robust, production-ready software systems for external product offerings. • Implement and integrate core scientific algorithms (ML, deep learning, physics-based simulation) into scalable product platforms. • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary "pod" of engineers, computational chemists, AI experts, and product managers to define requirements, architecture, and deployment strategies for new features. • Ensure the scientific integrity and accuracy of research models (e.g., active learning, FEP, etc.) when deployed in production. • Drive the product lifecycle from scientific inception to external deployment, ensuring technical excellence and market fit.

• Conduct structured horizon-scanning for novel AI-enabled hazard classes, and develop methodologies for reasoning rigorously about threats that lack historical base rates or established scientific communities • Investigate next-generation detection sciences, such as dynamic and adaptive pathogen surveillance, and analogous open-ended approaches for other emerging hazard modalities • Pursue feasibility analyses on deep resilience and lifeline capacities engineered to function when conventional infrastructure, sunlight, or centralized coordination cannot be assumed • Analyze biosphere-scale vulnerabilities, including geoengineering, synthetic microbes for terraforming or remediation, and nontraditional environmental toxicology arising from AI-enabled activity • Identify and selectively advance defensive, stabilizing, and transparency-enhancing technologies whose differential acceleration favors humanity • Develop scientific metaresearch on how evidence is generated, aggregated, and translated into action where conventional empirical feedback loops are weak • Build scientific coordination capacity through standards, convenings, and cross-border working relationships, and equip frontline responders and community networks with usable decision support • Co-author grant applications, build analytical tools that make catastrophic risks more legible, and translate findings for policymakers, technical audiences, and the public • Collaborate across CARMA programs to integrate civil safety perspectives with broader risk assessment, governance, and technical safety workstreams

Role Description Bruker Spatial Biology is looking for an entry-level Bioinformatician to join our R&D department. The successful candidate will work with their Bioinformatic team leader to establish Bioinformatic data analysis solutions for our CellScapeTM platform. The Bioinformatician will furthermore play a role in performing CellScape data analyses for key customer collaborations and/or contract research projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bioinformatics, image analysis and will already understand Spatial Biology. Experience in microscopy and/or histology is desirable but not a precondition. In your role as a Bioinformatician, you will be given responsibility and ownership of your analysis projects. You will work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment and initiative to solve problems. You will have room to maneuver and to execute your responsibilities creatively and effectively. Throughout your tenure you will be tasked with diverse projects, and you will need to be agile and flexible as you maneuver the complexities of each new problem. You will be expected to work reliably and to take on responsibility for the timely delivery of results. At any time, you should be ready to pivot as directives and roadmaps are aligned with a dynamic customer base. This role reports to our Senior Bioinformatician and does not include management of direct reports. This role does not have wetlab responsibilities. Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain bioinformatics tools, libraries, and databases analyzing Spatial Proteomics / mIF data. - Analyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets - including spatial proteomics and single-cell data - to support discovery of new drugs, therapies, and biologically meaningful patterns. - Evaluate, test, and improve existing internal software solutions, and partner with software teams during active development cycles. - Work cross-functionally with wetlab and software teams to critically evaluate data from multiplex biomarker assays and translate scientific needs into analysis solutions. - Communicate findings to scientists, researchers, and stakeholders through clear written reports and presentations. - Challenge the status quo by engaging in constructive critique of established practices and proposing better alternatives. - Deliver projects and milestones on time, keeping leadership informed through routine progress updates. - May participate in travel to conferences and tradeshows. Qualifications - Requires a PhD with extensive bioinformatic analysis background. - Strong fluency in Python (required); working knowledge of R, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing environments is a plus. - Industry experience is not required. - Demonstrated ability to design and write clean, reusable functions, modules, and analysis pipelines - not just notebook-style scripting. - Hands-on experience developing machine-learning or deep-learning models (training, evaluation, and deployment), particularly applied to imaging or single-cell data. - Ability to communicate, educate and engage wet lab scientists. - Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Requirements - Base salary range for this full-time position is between $86,500 and $153,500. - Base salary will depend on several job-related factors, including education, training, experience, geographic location, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements.
