Throughout your tenure you will be tasked with diverse projects, and you will need to be agile and flexible as you maneuver the complexities of each new problem. You will be expected to work reliably and to take on responsibility for the timely delivery of results. At any time, you should be ready to pivot as directives and roadmaps are aligned with a dynamic customer base. This role reports to our Senior Bioinformatician and does not include management of direct reports. This role does not have wetlab responsibilities. Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain bioinformatics tools, libraries, and databases analyzing Spatial Proteomics / mIF data. - Analyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets - including spatial proteomics and single-cell data - to support discovery of new drugs, therapies, and biologically meaningful patterns. - Evaluate, test, and improve existing internal software solutions, and partner with software teams during active development cycles. - Work cross-functionally with wetlab and software teams to critically evaluate data from multiplex biomarker assays and translate scientific needs into analysis solutions. - Communicate findings to scientists, researchers, and stakeholders through clear written reports and presentations. - Challenge the status quo by engaging in constructive critique of established practices and proposing better alternatives. - Deliver projects and milestones on time, keeping leadership informed through routine progress updates. - May participate in travel to conferences and tradeshows. Qualifications - Requires a PhD with extensive bioinformatic analysis background. - Strong fluency in Python (required); working knowledge of R, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing environments is a plus. - Industry experience is not required. - Demonstrated ability to design and write clean, reusable functions, modules, and analysis pipelines - not just notebook-style scripting. - Hands-on experience developing machine-learning or deep-learning models (training, evaluation, and deployment), particularly applied to imaging or single-cell data. - Ability to communicate, educate and engage wet lab scientists. - Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. LTX

At our core is LTX- an open-source generative video model built to deliver expressive, high-fidelity video at unmatched speed. It powers our own products and a growing ecosystem of creative partners worldwide. We're one of the few companies globally building our own multimodal foundation models, competing directly with the world's largest AI labs. Startup speed. Experienced leadership. A product people already love. Backed by a proven business model and unicorn-scale resources. We were founded by four computer-science PhDs who never stopped thinking like researchers. That mindset still defines us: deep technical ambition, a bias toward building, and a belief that the best creative tools haven't been invented yet. The team has done it before. Lightricks' suite of apps, including the famous Facetune, has over 500 million downloads worldwide and has won numerous prestigious awards, including Apple's App of the Year, the Apple Design Award and both Apple and Google Play's Best of the Year. What makes us "us" - At LTX, innovation starts with people, not buzzwords. We move fast, speak plainly, and take real ownership. Impact here comes from passion, curiosity, and initiative, and from raising the bar for yourself and the people around you. We believe the best work happens together. The culture here is genuinely collaborative, people share knowledge, back each other up, and win as a team. When things click, everyone feels it. You'll have what you need to do your best work: unrestricted access to compute, tools, and resources. We're AI-native in practice- first access to the latest models, real infrastructure, and a team that learns together in real time. The TeamLightricks is an AI-first company creating next-generation content-creation technology for businesses, enterprises, and studios, with a mission to bridge the gap between imagination and creation. At our core is LTX-2, an open-source generative video model, built to deliver expressive, high-fidelity video at unmatched speed. It powers both our own products and a growing ecosystem of partners through API integration. Following the success of LTX-2, our widely adopted open-source text-to-audio+video model, we are expanding our efforts to develop cutting-edge audio+video generation models and are hiring Research Scientists to join our Model Evaluation team - part of LTX Foundational Model group. The Model Evaluation team is the central nervous system of the LTX Foundation Model group. We don't just measure performance; we define what "good" looks like across a vast array of use cases. While we power the next generation of creative tools, LTX is also a foundational engine for simulation pipelines, game engines, synthetic data generation, architectural rendering, and digital avatars. We act as the critical bridge between raw research and industrial-grade reliability, building the benchmarks that ensure our models are world-class for both artists and engineers. The RoleAs a Research Scientist in Model Evaluation, you are the ultimate authority on model quality and utility. You will design the automated judges, reward models, evaluation datasets, and benchmarking ecosystems that determine the future of LTX. Your mission is to provide the "ground truth" for our pre-training and post-training teams. You will blend the rigor of a researcher with the intuition of a product-thinker, developing metrics that capture both the aesthetic soul of a video and the functional precision required for high-stakes professional use. Key Responsibilities - Steer Training & Research: Systematically evaluate model checkpoints to provide actionable insights that guide training experiments and architectural decisions. - Design Benchmark Ecosystems: Develop and run rigorous benchmarks for release candidates against competitive models, ensuring LTX-2 remains world-class. - Build Next-Gen Metrics: Develop robust automatic metrics and Reward Models (e.g., for RL, ITS, auto-research agents) that quantify complex attributes like temporal coherence, physical correctness, spatial accuracy, and foley synchronization. - Diagnose & Analyze: Perform deep root-cause analysis on model failures, providing the diagnostic clarity needed for researchers to implement targeted fixes. - Scale Evaluation: Collaborate with platform engineers to deploy evaluation frameworks across large-scale GPU clusters. Ideal Candidate - Technical Depth: Master’s or PhD in Computer Vision, ML, or a related field, with strong software engineering skills and comfort in complex ML training environments. - The "Metric" Mindset: Deep expertise in evaluation methodology and statistical rigor. You know why standard metrics often fail and how to build better ones. - Perceptual Intuition: A sharp "eye and ear" for quality. You can articulate subtle nuances in motion or sound that automated systems might miss and use that intuition to improve our reward models. - Data-Driven Detective: You love diving into datasets to find the "why" behind the numbers, taking pride in curating and specializing data for specific evaluation tasks. - Product-Minded Scientist: You can think like an end-user. You care that our models don't just "beat the benchmark" but actually work reliably in professional pipelines. - Statistical Rigor: You understand experimental design, significance testing, and the nuances of perceptual quality assessment. We got you covered - We run daily door-to-door shuttles, offering Car-to-go subscriptions from several locations for several locations in central Israel, plus free parking and train-station pickups. - We’re proud to have 2 chef-led restaurants on site by the legendary Machneyuda Group (yes, that Machneyuda!), plus a bakery nestled in the heart of our office, filled daily with the scent of fresh pastries. - We empower employees with cutting-edge tools and learning opportunities to grow and succeed through workshops, access and training on platforms, subscriptions, and clear guidelines for responsible AI use.
