Role Description We are seeking a Master’s Level Licensed Counselor to provide mental health treatment to children and adults in the Southern-Central Vermont area. This position will work with individuals dealing with a variety of mental health disorders on a number of psychological assessments and therapeutic techniques, while participating on interdisciplinary treatment teams. Based on the needs and preferences of the client, each client will receive an individualized treatment plan. The goals of the treatment are to develop emotional communication/stress management skills, mend past relationships, and build a support system within the community. - Individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to continuously develop treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and feedback. - Maintain accurate and organized client records, progress notes, and treatment documentation. - Facilitate referral to alternative or additional providers as clinically appropriate. - Clearly communicate the social work role with healthcare team and actively participate in team planning for patient care. - Provide employee assistance on request. - Administer evidence-based screenings and assessments. Qualifications - Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or other Human Services field. - Licensed clinician required (LMHC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT). - 5 years experience as Licensed Clinician. - Ability to get Vermont Licensure. - Must be client centered and recovery oriented. - Ability to demonstrate empathy, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills in interactions with clients. - Computer literacy/proficiency, including experience working within electronic Medical records (EMRs). - Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients, families, co-workers. - Adherence to ethical guidelines and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. - A genuine passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve personal growth.
