Role Description The Director, Recruitment Services, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the UAMS Recruitment Services function, encompassing both Core and Strategic Recruitment Services teams. This role is accountable for team performance, service quality, workforce planning partnership, and the continuous improvement of recruitment systems, processes, and candidate experience across the institution. The Director partners with senior HR and institutional leadership to align talent acquisition strategy with UAMS's workforce and organizational objectives. • The Safety and Security Officer reports directly to the Supervisor of Safety and Security. • This position is responsible for customer service, service recovery, security screening, weapon detection, and video surveillance systems monitoring. • This position is also responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with all regulatory agencies. • The Safety Security Officer will monitor for any safety issues while on foot patrol, responding to alarms, and assisting visitors and patients with guidance and requests. • This position may assist Safety and Security Ambassadors' assignments as needed or assigned. • Assignments may vary with increased security concerns within the UAMS system.

• The Financial Counseling Specialist works with patients who have scheduled specific clinical services to promote financial clearance prior to the day of care. • In addition to contacting payers and providers to secure authorizations as needed, this staff member provides information regarding hospital payment requirements, alternative financing & charity care programs during pre-service. • This individual will relay relevant financial information in a clear and patient-friendly manner per UAMS’ customer service and price transparency initiatives.

• Provides accurate, complete Spanish/English interpretation for patients, families, and healthcare providers through phone, video remote interpreting (VRI), and in-person interactions as needed. • Facilitates clear communication regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, discharge instructions, and informed consent. • Translates written materials such as patient education documents, consent forms, discharge instructions, insurance forms, and clinic communications with linguistic and cultural accuracy. • Ensures confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, UAMS policies, and language-access standards during all patient interactions. • Maintains professionalism, impartiality, and cultural competence while supporting equitable patient care for limited English proficiency (LEP) patients. • Conveys meaning-for-meaning interpretation between providers and patients without omission or alteration. • Identifies communication barriers and recommend solutions to improve patient understanding and workflow efficiency. • Assists patients with appointment scheduling, clinic registration, and navigation of healthcare services in their preferred language. • Utilizes medical terminology appropriately in both English and the target language during clinical encounters. • Supports departmental operations through scheduling, documentation, reporting, interpreting logs, and participation in meetings or quality initiatives. • Educates staff on interpreter-services best practices, cultural sensitivity, and language-access compliance requirements when applicable. • Operates telehealth technology, video platforms, phones, and related interpreting equipment effectively in remote and clinical settings. • Adheres to national standards for healthcare interpreting and maintain required interpreter certifications and continuing education. • May perform other duties as assigned.

Role Description This position is a Clinical Educator, Non-tenure Track, serving as Department Chair and Residency Program Director in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Role Description Under the direction of the Associate CCIO and in close partnership with Pharmacy, the Clinical Informaticist (CI) is responsible for the planning, implementing, supporting, and optimizing of projects related to data extraction, processing, report application development, and analysis. Specific to clinical informatics, the CI is responsible for evaluation of the implementation of existing tools through reporting and analytics with a focus on expanding machine learning capabilities. This individual participates in the development and support of reporting applications, and, through these applications, both provides and assists the department with data analysis. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment, where innovation and thinking creatively are valued. Using statistical analysis and various data visualization techniques, the candidate will collaborate with business users and technical teams across the organization to facilitate data-driven decision making by enabling exploration and analysis of historical and near real-time data access using on-premise and cloud-based tools and technologies. The candidate will focus on both small projects and potentially projects much larger in scope. Build new custom reporting solutions and work with existing analytical tools. The candidate also should have or quickly develop the ability to create complex ETL processes. The candidate will collaborate with teams across the organization to provide excellent solutions, while utilizing strong problem-solving skills to continuously meet organizational goals and initiatives. The incumbent must remain current with system processes and must employ excellent communication skills in working with members of all departments.
