Program Manager

• Lead and expand client relationships across various sectors including industrial, municipal, and environmental. • Drive business development initiatives and execute growth strategies. • Partner with regional leadership to identify opportunities for strategic growth. • Lead proposal strategy and contract negotiations for large opportunities. • Represent Apex with clients and industry stakeholders to strengthen market visibility. • Collaborate on complex environmental and remediation projects. • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers/scientists.

Job Requirements

  • BS in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in environmental/remediation consulting with progressive responsibility in technical leadership, project management, client management, business development, and staff mentorship.
  • Strong experience supporting manufacturing, utility, municipal (including landfill), oil & gas, and industrial clients.
  • California PE license required.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business, expanding client relationships, and leading strategic growth initiatives.
  • Proven project management experience overseeing large, complex environmental projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong network within the Northern California environmental consulting market is highly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing technical staff.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong safety mindset and understanding of safe work practices.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Role Description The Labor Relations Manager oversees all labor relations activities for assigned unions across multiple collective bargaining agreements.
