Most of the role can be performed remotely, with occasional in-person duties. Candidates located near the Greater Boston area who can travel to Woburn, Massachusetts, as needed, will be considered. Your Responsibilities as a Marketing & Proposal Coordinator : - Work alongside our Woburn-based Marketing Manager and Sr. Marketing Coordinator in pursuit of new work, with an emphasis on projects in the northeastern United States - Assist with the retrieval and tracking of requests for proposals/qualifications and help with go/no-go discussions - Support proposal plan preparation and drive proposal kick-off discussions - Contribute to compelling firm qualifications, proposals, and presentation materials in support of Apex’s business initiatives. • Inspect wastewater and stormwater lift stations, including testing floats and controls, power, wet well condition, safety, indications of failure or overflow, and repair needs. • Recommend and execute repairs and improvements, providing insight to scope the required equipment, materials, and manpower needed. • Safe work practices are paramount, and the individual will need to adhere to safe work practices, including driving and equipment inspection/maintenance, maintain current training to manage job-specific proficiency for confined-space entry, lockout/tagout, and other related safe work practices. • Use smart phone applications to record inspection, maintenance, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Travel to client sites to perform operational evaluations of water and wastewater treatment facilities (WTP/WWTP), lift stations, and related infrastructure • Monitor and evaluate treatment system performance, including pumps, motors, meters, gauges, and process control systems • Collect, test, and analyze water and wastewater samples; interpret results to assess treatment performance and compliance • Review and optimize treatment processes, including chemical feed systems and dosing, to improve efficiency and reliability • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on treatment systems, distribution systems, and equipment • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components, including pumps, blowers, valves, and control systems • Monitor system conditions, identify operational issues, and respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency conditions • Clean, maintain, and service tanks, wet wells, booster stations, and other facilities • Record and maintain accurate operational data, maintenance logs, and inspection reports using computerized and manual systems • Prepare clear written reports and communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to supervisors and project managers • Assist with system startups, process adjustments, inspections, and routine operations • Coordinate materials, spare parts, and equipment needed for maintenance and operational activities • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely in accordance with company policies • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, permits, and safety requirements (EPA, OSHA, and state standards) • Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE • Collaborate with team members and clients to identify operational improvements and implement best practices • Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Assist in the establishment, management, and growth of a new branch office with division and regional support • Help recruit, build, and manage a team of technical staff to support office operations and project execution • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for recruiting new clients, leveraging existing relationships and expanding business opportunities supporting the development of small to large design projects from inception to completion • Lead project management efforts for Site Assessments & Remediation, Emergency Response, Natural Resources, EHS & compliance, Permitting, Planning & Management or Reporting Assurance Services. • Supporting the work of others and mentoring junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff. • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving • Participate in internal and external technical organizations

• Prepares technical memoranda, reports, calculations, correspondences, designs, drawings, specifications, permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates on less complex projects or discrete tasks on more complex projects under the direct supervision of senior staff. • Assists the Project Manager and other senior staff in complying with assigned project schedules and budgets on less complex projects or discrete tasks on more complex projects by actively reporting on project progress and by identifying additional work outside the contractual Scope of Work. • Works with subconsultants under the direction of the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. • May serve as Lead Designer on less complex projects or discrete tasks on more complex projects to produce a complete and coordinated project by meeting and effectively communicating with the project team. • Reviews calculations, design assumptions, and concepts within discipline to assure quality control. • Provides technical input into proposals on less complex projects, or discrete tasks on more complex projects by developing scope of work, budgets, and schedules by relying on historical information or experience. • Assists in the preparation of technical presentations. • Participates in client meetings and/or technical presentations. • Works effectively and efficiently within established hourly budgets and monitors self-performance. • Develops expertise in pertinent local, state, and federal regulations. • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients on technical issues by effectively communicating on a frequent and regular basis as directed by the Project Manager. • Leads fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, and construction observation. • Assists with construction administration by tracking and reviewing submittals, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, reviewing, and compiling daily and weekly construction reports, and tracking construction schedules. • Provides updates to a Senior Project Engineer and/or Project Manager. • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with staff. Provides on-the-job training and mentoring for entry-level engineers and interns. • Demonstrates advanced skill and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and other associated computer-based technical software specific to the discipline. • Develops increasingly effective writing and presentation skills and can present data that supports technical decisions and the rationale for making them.
