Senior Analyst, Procurement

• Take ownership of end-to-end procurement process • Identify qualified vendors for products and services • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQ) • Create and manage purchase orders • Proactively monitor and manage purchase orders • Maintain accurate electronic records • Provide input for the development and improvement of procurement strategies • Reconcile purchase and invoice discrepancies • Drive and maintain strong data discipline in the SCM MRP/ERP environment

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience in Government procurement
  • SAP experience
  • Enrolled in or willing to enroll in professional supply chain certifications such as SCMA, APICS, or CSCP
  • Strong understanding of the Supply Chain lifecycle
  • Understanding of the preparation, negotiation, and monitoring of purchasing agreements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of business contract law, customs, freight and tax issues
  • Understanding of purchasing concepts, negotiation tactics/techniques, and material management principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and manage a high volume of work efficiently
  • Familiarity with US Government Acquisition regulations

Role Description Support the Order Processing team for a New York-based Startup! You will join the Order Processing team which handles a very crucial part of the business and is responsible for ensuring that the right product is delivered to our customers. We worked on 10,000+ orders last year with a direct impact on our revenue. You will also be reporting to one of our Operations Managers and you will be working on a set of unique orders every day, each posing logistical challenges that you’ll have to work through.
