MedTech Field Service Engineer
IQVIA
• Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff. • Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and network products. • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration. • Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation. • Full-time commitment requires travel locally, regionally, and nationally. Assignment-based schedule with 40 hour commitment per week and overtime as needed.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree, or equivalent military training programs, or equivalent biomedical or technical field service experience. (3-5 years field experience)
- Strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot project setup, technical issues, and closeouts remotely within multiple software programs.
- Professional business acumen and effective communication skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team, required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of project assignments.
- An active and unrestricted driver license, and a personal vehicle for local work-related assignments.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds, required.
- Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including providing proof of vaccination status is required or willing to obtain if offered role.

Key Responsibilities - Support on-site and remote deployment of our solutions across sensors, edge devices, and software platforms, including configuration, calibration, testing, and validation. - Act as the technical point of contact during pilots, PoCs, and live implementations, owning technical execution end-to-end. - Partner with the Project team to plan and run deployments: align scope, milestones, site readiness, risks, and action items, and provide clear status updates. - Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and site constraints, and translate them into deployment and integration steps. - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in the field, lead root cause analysis, and drive resolution with Engineering and Product. - Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Project teams to share field learnings, collect requirements, and highlight gaps for improvement. - Create and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, and field reports to support repeatable deployments. - Train customer teams and internal stakeholders when required. - Provide input to pre-sales and post-sales when needed (demos, technical scoping, and RFP/RFI technical support).
• Support our customers across multiple locations within our operating area and work at various mineral mine sites • Performing diagnostics and repairs on both Cummins and non‑Cummins engines and equipment • Establish and continually develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs • Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at the customer site • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field • Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
Field Service Technician

• Traveling to customer sites to install, fix, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls for customer’s organizations (Company provided vehicle & gas for travel paid for by the company) • Using on-line technical documents, manuals and vendor resources to research machine issues • Ensuring accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of machine issues, repairs, and installation • Promoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conducting after-sales technical support and training • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company • Training in CNC repair and Haas equipment is part of the on-boarding process, with factory certification within the first year.
• Provide leading technical response and tele-support for complex electro-mechanical and control system issues to support our customers. • Coordinate operational fault correction activities on MHE in collaboration with operations managers. • Review and monitor system performance daily, identify root causes of equipment and system failures, and analyse problems to prevent recurrence. • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with site legislative Health & Safety regulations. • Take full accountability for Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities. • Participate in performance improvement programmes and technical training initiatives to enhance individual and team capability. • Build and maintain effective customer relationships to exceed expectations and strengthen partnerships with primary contractors. • Demonstrate commitment to timely and professional issue resolution, supporting both customers and internal teams. • Foster collaborative relationships with subcontractors, internal business support functions, and wider stakeholders. • Continuously improve technical and soft skills, adopting best practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring a safe working environment across all activities.
