Role Description This remote role is open to candidates in the United States. No relocation funds are available. You’ll be part of the Global Sales Communications team, supporting the Global Specialists organization. This high-performing team of executive communicators is passionate about delivering work that drives impact through clear, compelling storytelling. In this role, you will collaborate closely with communications, product, and cross-functional teams across the company to ensure Global Specialists messaging is cohesive, aligned, and strategically grounded. The team operates in a focused, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, using data and storytelling to bring Cisco’s vision and strategy to life for internal and external audiences. Your Impact As an Executive Communications Manager, you will develop and amplify the voice of the organization. Partnering with the broader communications team and executive leaders, you will craft high-impact narratives that clarify priorities, inspire action, and support growth across a diverse global sales organization. This role requires active engagement across initiatives and technology areas, with a strong focus on supporting executive leaders through high-impact communications and organization-wide messaging. By aligning communications with business priorities, you will drive engagement across regions and functions while translating complex technologies into clear, compelling narratives that build understanding and inspire action. Detailed Responsibilities - Internal/Employee Communications - Develop and execute communication plans aligned to Global Specialists’ priorities and organizational goals. - Own and manage large-scale organizational communications, including global all-hands meetings, leadership forums, and major announcements. - Maintain a coordinated communications calendar and cadence to ensure timely, consistent outreach across audiences and regions. - Write and refine clear, engaging messages tailored to diverse employee groups. - Executive Thought Leadership - Partner with executive leaders to provide strategic communications support for high-priority initiatives and cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment and impact. - Develop communications for senior leadership, including emails, presentations, and briefing materials. - Own and maintain a centralized presentation library to ensure leadership has access to current messaging and visual assets across the specialist portfolio. - Plan and deliver presentations and speaking content for major Cisco, customer, partner, and industry events. - Develop content and strategic messaging for social media to elevate organizational visibility, engagement, and thought leadership. - Change Management/Strategic Communications - Lead communications planning and messaging for organizational change initiatives within the Global Specialists team. - Partner cross-functionally to coordinate effective communication delivery across teams, regions, and channels. - Advise on and manage business-critical communications, including time-sensitive or high-impact situations. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in executive communications and/or marketing within the technology sector, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives. - 3+ years advanced design and structure presentations that inform, influence, and inspire senior audiences. - 3+ years of exceptional writing skills, including the ability to synthesize complex or fragmented information into cohesive stories. - Proven track record of translating technical concepts into clear narratives for broad audiences. Preferred Qualifications - Experience communicating across a broad portfolio of technology solutions (e.g., Networking, Security, Cloud & AI, Collaboration). - Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across formats and channels. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies, both virtually and in person. - Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences—from individual contributors to executive leadership—with confidence and executive presence.
