Senior Manager, Accounting

• Prepare and manage the more complex corporate accounting areas, such as internal-use-software capitalization, hosting, leases, intercompany, and intangible assets • Support accounting for certain revenue streams, such as core-subscription, text messaging and advertising revenue • Perform and review key account reconciliations, rollforwards, and accounting analyses across high-impact accounts • Research accounting guidance (e.g., ASC 350-40, ASC 606, ASC 842,) and update technical memos to support new facts and circumstances • Perform monthly variance and fluctuation analyses; translate accounting activity into clear explanations of business drivers • Actively seek out and implement AI tools and automation to eliminate manual effort — without compromising internal controls or accuracy • Redesign spreadsheet-based workflows for speed and scalability; build and maintain process documentation suitable for audit and SOX-equivalent review • Support interim and year-end audit processes; maintain audit-ready documentation across all owned areas at all times • Assist in managing 1–2 accounting professionals and review their work; provide technical coaching, work product review, and ongoing development feedback
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a mix of public and industry experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), IUS (ASC 350-40), and leases (ASC 842)
- Experience preparing reconciliations, rollforwards, and financial analyses
- Experience supporting process improvements or automation initiatives
- Understanding of internal controls and audit processes
- Collaborate effectively with accounting team members with varying skill levels
- Advanced Excel skills
