Senior QA Manager, Product Engineering

CareMetx, LLC

• Define, own, and continuously evolve a comprehensive, multi-year QA strategy for end-to-end testing across multi-system healthcare technology platform. • Design and lead testing strategies for complex cross-team workflows involving multiple systems, ensuring thorough coverage of integration points and data flows. • Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and executive-level reporting dashboards to provide full visibility into quality status across all products, teams, and initiatives. • Set and enforce test documentation standards, templates, and best practices adopted across the organization. • Proactively identify systemic quality risks across the portfolio and develop mitigation plans before they impact delivery or production.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing multiple teams or programs.
  • Demonstrated experience driving end-to-end QA strategy across large-scale, multi-system platforms or complex enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating offshore QA resources and managing distributed testing organizations.
  • Background in healthcare technology, pharmaceutical systems, or similarly regulated industries strongly preferred.

Who you are The Tester is responsible for evaluating electronic documents, applications, and interfaces to ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and associated federal accessibility requirements. You are detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about creating accessible digital experiences for users of all abilities. You thrive in Agile environments, collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and can clearly communicate accessibility findings, remediation recommendations, and compliance risks. This role is primarily focused on Section 508 PDF remediation and accessibility compliance within a federal environment. Approximately 95% of the work involves actively correcting and remediating PDF documents — not just identifying issues. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro/Classic, including tagging documents, fixing reading order, and remediating issues to ensure 508 Accessibility Compliance for the entire document. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Section 508 document remediation efforts in an Agile environment. What you will do: - Validate 508 compliance against government accessibility standards. - Electronic Document PDF remediation as requested by the government. - Plan, prepare, execute, and document tests to verify NCIC System 508 compliance. Report of the test results using approved forms and templates. - Work shall be planned, monitored, executed, and documented according to the agile standard operating procedures of the NCIC Agile Release Train including maintenance of a backlog and observance of program iteration and sprint timeframes. - Participate in 508 compliance meetings and provide subject matter expert guidance. - Develop and execute Section 508 compliance test scripts, test cases, and test scenarios based upon Section 508 standards and system requirement definitions. - Conduct detailed analysis of Section 508 test report results. - Work with the Manager to develop plans, schedules, and present time estimation for test and remediation activities to be performed. - Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Section 508 compliance for electronic documents, software, and modules. - Attend NCIC agile development activities, such as iteration reviews. How success is measured: - Timely and accurate completion of Section 508 accessibility testing activities and compliance deliverables. - Identification, documentation, and communication of accessibility risks, defects, and remediation recommendations. - Successful collaboration with Agile teams, developers, and stakeholders to support accessibility compliance efforts. - Maintenance of accurate testing documentation, Agile metrics, and sprint deliverables. - Consistent adherence to federal accessibility standards, Agile procedures, and testing best practices. What you bring We require: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Public Policy, Computer Science, Information Science, or a degree demonstrated to be directly related to the administration and management of Section 508 requirements. Certification(s) in related areas of study may be considered for substitution for the degree requirement. - 5 to 8 years of experience performing accessibility testing, compliance activities, or related IT quality assurance functions. - 3 years of experience performing Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility testing for electronic documents and web-based applications, including use of formal testing templates and documentation standards. - 1 year of experience working within Agile development environments and participating in Agile ceremonies and workflows. Certification(s) in agile methodology practices from an accredited institution may be substituted for the experience requirement. - Strong understanding of Section 508 requirements and best practices, as well as experience in web design, web development, and accessibility. - Experience using assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, JAWSInspect, screen readers, and keyboard navigation techniques to evaluate Section 508 compliance and user accessibility needs. - Experience working with and managing accessibility testing, audits, and remediation. - Ability to articulate test results, user impacts and remediation options and provide a defensible rationale for accessibility compliance. - Experience with Atlassian software tools such as JIRA and Confluence, or related products designed for cross-team management of testing activities. - Professional experience collaborating with technical and non-technical personnel. - Proficient in using routine computer applications, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Internet Explorer), Adobe Acrobat, JAWS, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and services that operate using these applications. - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal suitability determination/public trust clearance.
